Presented in partnership with Something Weird Video...
The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) represents the world's largest theatrical catalog of exploitation cinema. Their home video line presents a diverse selection of movies, ranging from new preservations of classics from the vast library of Something Weird to the wildest in shot-on-video (SOV) titles. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!
No one will ever make movies like Doris Wishman made movies. One of the most prolific women filmmakers in the history of American cinema, writer-director-editor Wishman created collisions between surrealism and exploitation that feel like they materialized from an alternate universe. THE FILMS OF DORIS WISHMAN: THE TWILIGHT YEARS surveys the last major era of Wishman’s career. From DEADLY WEAPONS and DOUBLE AGENT 73 (crime epics starring the iconic Chesty Morgan) to LET ME DIE A WOMAN (a semi-documentary about transgender people), AGFA + Something Weird are honored to present these triumphant DIY treasures in dazzling new restorations.

"Not my jamais but nice collections."
"I thought the packaging was great on this, and love that these films are getting such nice combining sets. Got this for a friend as a gift and it went over great. Just might borrow it eventually!"
"The best of the set and a shocking look at how Wishman got better by the decades. Loved all of these films and their trashy nature's. Great amount of unintentional laughs and just an overall fun time. The extras included were also a nice deep dive into Wishman's artistry."
"If you're a Wishman fan, this is a must-have. I wish the slipcase wasn't limited edition; I missed out on it & this disc looks a little anemic on my shelf next to the other 2 that do have the slipcases…"
"A great collection from Doris Wishman Chesty Morgan is a knock out of you know what I mean."
"Loved it"
"I can only imagine the effort to create and then restore these flicks but they look and sound great and are a fun watch. Thanks agfa and VinSyn for introducing me to Doris. Mostly crime themed stuff in this collection. Cool packaging."
"Doris Wishman is a legend. Enough said. Fantastic transfers with the available elements, packaging is top notch, and the extras are great extensive. Highly recommended."
"Awesome magnetic slipcases"
"The acting is horrible. The pacing is slow. The sets are cheap. The nudity is plentiful. If you are a fan of Doris Wishman, then these movies are for you. If you are a fan of nudity, then these movies are for you. If you are a fan of low-grade Z movies, then these movies are for you. I’d rate these movies individually, but they are basically the same in horribleness. The subject matter is different enough in each movie, but the execution is all the same."
