"It's a little strange to recommend an erotic film with a dramatic story, but this one is pretty interesting throughout. The acting is good for the adult industry. The technical aspects of the Blu-ray are excellent. Highly recommended for people who want to see the heights of adult film production before video came in."
"In 1985 the transition of adult titles was already underway, moving towards shot on video and much less production time, etc. However, this Henri Pachard classic is 35mm beauty and biiss due to the reasons above. A super 4K scan, showing off some of the best mid 80s stars in all their glory. Now ad some real drama along with the eroticism and we have yet another V. S. release to be valued. It's easy to see why V. S. / Melusine chose this title to release on blu ray. Let me reiterate, seeing Mitchell, Brennan and Hartley in a quality production and fully restored and in 35mm is a visual treat for anyone who loves this era."
"Getting Personal was a nice surprise for me. It is not just another adult movie, but more like a real little drama with sex in it. The story with Colleen Brennan and Herschel Savage gives the film a more personal and sometimes even sad touch, and the chemistry between them works very well. The Melusine release is also strong. The 4K restoration from the 35mm negative gives the picture a clean, film-like look, and the disc has nice extras, especially the long Colleen Brennan interview, which adds a lot of value. Overall, a very good Quality X title and one of those releases that shows why these films deserve proper restorations."
