Get ready for a wild ride!

One of notorious Eurosleaze auteur Jess Franco and producer Erwin C. Dietrich's most shocking films,1976's Barbed Wire Dolls is the ultimate unholy “Women-in-Prison” exploitation opus. In it, Franco favorite and lifelong muse Lina Romay (Doriana Gray, Rolls Royce Baby) stars as the wide-eyed Maria, an unfortunate young woman who kills her father (played by Franco in a delirious flashback sequence) in self defense after he attempts to rape her. She is tried, sentenced and shipped off to what is perhaps the grisliest, greasiest and most depraved women’s penitentiary in screen history where, at the hands, fingers and fists of psychotic lesbian warden Monica Swinn (The Duke of Burgundy, Female Vampire), she and her fellow inmates are subjected to an endless onslaught of perverse psychological and sexual abuse.

Filled to the gills with sex, Sapphic erotica, copious amounts of female nudity and offensively staged scenes of genital humiliation, this sleazy Franco masterpiece will rattle your cage in the sweetest way...

Reviews

A Strong Franco Production

"Excellent definition and color. I love the quality of the production. The plot, as with many Franco ventures, is off the wall. There's a lot of short scenes because the editing is a bit crazy, but that's kind of how this director works. Love it or hate it, but it's a great movie. Lina in her prime and Martine Stedil is always a treat for the eyes."

Eric H. (5/5)

One of Franco’s better entries

"Another great release from Delirium. I’m really loving these Jess Franco releases and this is one of his sleazier entries into the women in prison flicks. It has all the usual stuff you would expect from these movies with the sleaze factor dialled right up! Great stuff!"

james b. (4/5)

Barbed Wire Dolls

"Typical Franco, sadistic sexploitation in his favourite setting. If you enjoyed previous releases like Love Camp then you’ll love this too."

Ben S. (5/5)

Barbed Wire Dolls

"Jess Franco's sleaze masterpiece has lost none of its power to shock. Lina Romay leads the cast and is as luscious as ever and Uncle Jess and Lina's flashback done in faked slow motion is just as ridiculous as it sounds. Some good extras as well."

Daniel B. (5/5)

Another Great Delirium Title

"Your mileage may vary with Delirium Uncle Jess releases but this is one I have wanted to see for years and it didn’t disappoint!"

Eli O. (5/5)

Barbed Wire Dolls

"A women in prison movie by none another then Jess Fracno, professional sleazy maker. If you know Franco, you know what type of movie you are in for. The movie itself has never looked or sounded better."

Derek B. (5/5)

Franco WIP

"Another great release from the Erwin C. Dietrich library. Great slip art and some really cool extras add a lot to this Jess Franco title."

Simon R. (5/5)

Franco In Prison

"Pretty bad as a film, but a great release and if you`re Franco-pilled, this is a must own. Delirium continues to do the lord`s work."

Josh B. (3/5)

Slipcover was cool and different

"Slipcover was cool and different already had the movie, film is sleezy and fun to watch"

Kevin M. (5/5)

Did Jess Franco invent bullet time?

"Before The Matrix actors had to actually move in slow motion to achieve the kind of immersive spectacle we now take for granted. Also the slip cover art is gorgeous!"
