THE SINFUL PLEASURES OF REVEREND STAR:
Reverend Star and his evil sex slaves are prowling the streets of San Francisco, on the search for gullible women to join his fiendish cult.
KINKY TRICKS:
Candy is a young hooker recently released from prison. Showing up on old flame Elliot's doorstep she begs for a place to stay. To help make the mortgage payments, Candy and her friends start using the house to pull Kinky Tricks, doing everything from Cowboy to Bigfoot themed role-plays. Anything and everything goes in this San Francisco shot, unconventional, free for all.
CHINA LUST:
When a strange phallic object is accidentally sold at a shop in San Francisco's Chinatown, its erotic powers are unleashed, providing each of its owners with exquisite pleasures.

"Nice to have this collection of three fairly obscure low-budget San Francisco films on one DVD release. It looks like the transfers were the best they could be considering the source material."
"Charles DeSantos' films presented here aren't all great by any stretch - imo mileage may vary with Sinful Pleasures and China Lust - though if you're like me and any SF golden age low budget adult stuff is very fascinating then they're worth it. Kinky Tricks on the other hand has an intoxicating strangeness to it that really elevates the revolving door of slight kink exploration. From the cinematography and editing to the music choices and performances (not to mention the amazing and truly odd parrot inclusion -- pictured), this has steadily became a go to favorite for a hazed out trip back to SF of yesteryear."
"The first feature is sweaty hippy porn from San Fran. Perhaps you'll enjoy it if you like poorly directed hairy sweaty people being filmed with bad lighting and zero production values, but it certainly wasn't for me! Kinky Tricks was an improvement at least, with some slightly more unusual and interesting scenes. One of the women was absolutely wild and having a great time, which is no bad thing. Undoubtedly the highlight however was when Tiny Tim's 'Tiptoe Through the Tulips' started playing! China Lust was fairly entertaining in a very silly kind of way, although not all that erotic. It certainly had a few funny moments though. Overall a very strange collection of films, but certainly no lack of variety."

"This triple bill of sexploitation relics proves that quantity is not a guarantee of quality. "The Sinful Pleasures of Reverend Star" suggests a plot concerning a supernatural controlling sex cult, but the vacancy of scenario and the absence of any characters but one (who has little to say and no one to react against) makes for a dreary excursion into badly staged couplings and pointless and painfully protracted (not to mention visually ugly) ritual orgies. The stakes rise slightly with the second feature, "Kinky Tricks" which, at least, approaches a more professional visual design as well as richer quality of production. Starring the appealing Candida Royalle, unfortunately the depth of the film's story can be limited to the film's title as the threadbare set-up basically opens the film to be an example of truth in advertising as there is little but a series of sexual vignettes concerning every conceivable variation of costumed fetishism. The last film, "China Lust" concerns a string of characters who briefly possess the same jade phallus which is meant to promote lusty activity, with entirely predictable (unless one has never seen an adult film) results. Restoration is acceptable, with "Kinky Tricks" emerging impressively, but the audio tends toward a flatness that in the case of "Reverend Star" mercifully renders what little dialogue there is indecipherable."

"The Sinful Pleasures of Reverend Star had some fun ideas but a very uncharismatic sect leader. China Lust about a Jade dildo with a voice over. Kinky Tricks was above average - girl get´s out of jail and tries to help a former customer pay his mortgage. 70´s low budget movies, ok transfers regarding the source material."
"This Peekarama DVD is unusual for being one of the few triple features. Most Peekaramas are Double Features. We get three films from San Francisco director Charles DeSantos. They all run just a little over an hour though, hardly passing as full length features. "The Sinful Pleasures of Reverend Star" was really nice, though almost plotless. But it's even got Horror elements, and I love it when adult flicks do that. "Kinky Tricks" was my favorite. Maybe it has to do with the great Roberta Findlay having produced it and according to the IMDB she even co-directed. "China Lust" was alright. Linda Wong is a beauty, but there's not much more ot it imho. There's an interesting extra: an audio interview with DeSantos, which plays over the first two films."
