"Pretty boring, and the sex isn't even that good."
Sold Out / OOP
Ray Dennis Steckler was no stranger to the world of horror films or sex films and often combined elements of both in his schizoid X rated offerings. Presented here are two of his rarest and most absurd.
THE SEXORCIST (aka Undressed to Kill):
A young investigative journalist attempts to go undercover to expose a local cult but ends up facing an evil much stronger than she'd expected.
DEVIATES IN LOVE (aka Fade to Red):
A psychiatrist discusses various case histories with a young female patient, detailing all sorts of fetishes and perversions from simple bondage to murder!

"Pretty boring, and the sex isn't even that good."
"Hate to say it but no movie is ever going to live up to a title as good as The Sexorcist. But if you can get past that, you’ll probably find something to enjoy here."
"How can you possibly say no to a film called The Sexorcist? It's not amazing, but it's amazing that it exists."
"Sexorcist: a classic title from Ray Dennis Steckler that looks fine but never really lives up to its exploitation promises. Deviants: Actually the better of the two pictures on this Peek-A-Rama double feature but still one that will appeal more to fans of its director than for any erotic content."
"I'd already watched some of RDS's work and it was not a nice watch. Everything looked a bit grim, things were poorly lit and it was generally not erotic in any way. When I see films like this, I'm reminded of that line from Bad Santa 2: 'Now you're gonna see somethin' that looks like some kind of Japanese food - it ain't, so don't eat it - that's the bullseye.'. This certainly applies to the second feature on this disc (Deviants in Love) and I won't be watching that one again! The Sexorcist however is a bit more interesting. Firstly, it starts with a well-acted voiceover and there's actually a storyline which is almost worth following. It's nothing amazing in this regard, but certainly better than his other stuff. The real things which bring this above his other work however are the blow jobs and the girl with the huge breasts. The blowjobs are done all the way to completion, with the girls then letting it run out of the side of their mouths while still trying to get more out. Some real troopers at work here and somehow they don't laugh when the guy is shouting about being 'the power', or something like that - I have to assume that was dubbed in afterwards for that reason! And the girl with the big bristols may not be the most mobile, but she is certainly quite a sight to behold when she gets going. Anyway, this isn't the best release from Peekarama by a long way, but it was certainly far better than I had expected."
"The Sexorcist was fun as it was RDS, low budget and fun. Deviants in Love was a bit strange as most of his movies, starting with an exposé of the inquisition and going on to modern tragedies of girl peeping toms and lonely women."
"Worth it for The Sexorcist alone. Since it's unclear whether or not these titles will be released again, if you're even moderately interested it's worth picking up."
"While in theory it sounds cool to see schlockmeister Ray Dennis Steckler step his toes into hardcore adult film territory, the results are pretty bland. Both features are almost plotless and "Deviates in Love" is obviously just random loops put together without any real connection. "The Sexorcist" is the more entertaining of the two, but the dry narration throughout the whole film put my attention to the test. Thankfully both movies run only about 60 minutes each. Still the other Steckler Peekarama DVD was much better and even featured a borderline classic with "Mad Love of a Hot Vampire". Vinegar Syndrome rescued these obscure films from being lost by restoring them from vault materials. Steckler is no Radley Metzger to begin with so the films look really rough and grainy. It underlines the 42nd street Grindhouse atmosphere, but subtitles would have been really nice, as I had a hard time understanding much of the dialogue."
"In The Sexorcist — or Undressed to Kill — a female journalist investigates a satanic cult who target a drug-addicted prostitute. Mostly shot Doris Wishman style with lots of VO narration, the print is pretty beat up and faded, but VS does a great job of preserving what’s available. Ultimately, the horror and sex elements are like oil and water and are not integrated well. Deviants In Love — or Fade to Red — presents itself as a pseudo-documentary about the history of fetishistic behaviors . Replete with a “psychiatrist” intoning in melodramatic VO his “case studies” for faux-verisimilitude, the film mostly is a collection of vintage clips intercut with more contemporary footage. Filled with clips of bondage, incest, orgies, etc., Deviants looks rough. For RDS completists."
"A couple of RDS titles that are more on the side of sexploitation than his usual fare. A mix of the absurd and weird with the adult genre. The two 70s films look great for their age."
