Set shortly after the conclusion of TABOO, TABOO 2 introduces Junior McBride (Kevin James) who, upon discovering that his best friend, Paul (Mike Ranger), had a relationship with his mother (Kay Parker), begins to explore his own curiosity for familial love, with his sister Sherry (Dorothy LeMay). Although initially hesitant, Sherry quickly discovers her desire for her brother, and the siblings soon begin an illicit affair...until their mother (Honey Wilder) catches them in the act... Director Kirdy Stevens and writer/producer Helene Terrie's acclaimed follow-up to their 1980 blockbuster is an engrossing psychological drama that features Honey Wilder's most infamous and celebrated performance.

In Kirdy Stevens and Helene Terrie's third entry in their TABOO franchise, Kay Parker reprises her role of Barbara Scott, whose son Paul has left home due to the stress of their unnatural relationship. With only her younger son (Jerry Butler), who's more concerned with his band and best friend (Blake Palmer) than his mother, to keep her company, Barbara finds a friend in Joyce McBride (Honey Wilder), as the two of them discover their shared illicit pasts and begin to plan the next stages of their lives... TABOO 3 is a thought provoking story of forbidden desires, featuring some of the biggest stars of the era.

These were okay but not

"These were okay but not as good as the first movie."

Family Affairs

"With "Taboo 2" and "Taboo 3" director Kirdy Stevens strives to prove that his surprise hit "Taboo" was no fluke and that extending the tale of interfamilial mattress bumping, in his view, recognizes a cultural shift to the acceptance of mother/son/daughter/dad/brother/sister intimacies as the new national pasttime. That the multiple engagements fail to be possessed of even a grain of jaundiced satiric mockery makes the casual acceptance of widespread incest even less palatable. In Steven's bizarre tale, by the end of the third chapter the participants would most likely encompass an entire phone directory. That the films are designed and acted with a generally impressive technical polish fails to disguise the core sleaze at the heart of the entire enterprise."

Family matters.

"Taboo II I discovered Taboo I & II on a rather popular x-rated website and was immediately hooked. Both where solid movies with strong acting and a good soundtrack and they dealt in a grown up way with a rather delicate topic. The blu ray presentation is solid, I only wish someone would find a way to release a clean soundtrack to both movies, as the score is great. I yet have to get into Taboo III."

Nice continuation of the series

Not bad but subject matter is...Taboo!

"Although the first one is actually pretty great (I've listened to most of all 4 commentaries from the VS release at this point!), I'm realizing more and more that I just find the subject matter...icky. The first sequel is less serious and more absurd, with a whole family mostly getting in on the incest action, and every time it happens it's like...viscerally...icky! It almost feels like it's, I don't know...what word am I looking for....taboo 😅? T3 I actually liked better than T2, esp. the whole band footage aspect, which I thought was great and helped ground the whole thing in the early '80s. Another plus is the focus is back on Kay Parker a bit, but it's also a little more serious. I think Alex DeRenzy needed to direct these for the proper tone! As for director Kirdy Stevens, he definitely has a go-to sex scene position/shot. It's a modified woman-on-top, but then she spins around 180 degrees and leans back, so you see both participants' faces and the woman's breasts and the actual penetration all in one shot, which is better than a typical porn where the standard penetration shot gives you the guy's butt, the woman's butthole and no faces, so it's less fly-on-the-wall and more sex-for-the-camera, and Kirdy uses it all the time for everything, so if you played a drinking game and took a sip everytime it showed up in the series you'd be wasted by TABOO III."
