SexWorld is a luxury resort, advertised as the ultimate sex-themed getaway, where people travel to try and overcome their sexual problems. As the resort's guests slowly become aware of their inhibitions, fears, and repressed urges, with the help of robotic surrogate lovers, director Anthony Spinelli's camera paints a haunting picture of human insecurities set against a science fiction backdrop.

One of the biggest hardcore hits of the late 1970's SEX WORLD is a thoughtful analysis of eroticism, punctuated with striking and at times abstract visuals. Featuring an all-star cast, including Annette Haven, Leslie Bovee, Kay Parker, John Leslie, Joey Silvera, and with Hollywood level production values, SEX WORLD remains one of the most significant and thought provoking hardcore feature films ever produced.

Vinegar Syndrome presents this genre classic newly restored in 4k from the original 35mm camera negative, featuring brand new interviews with its talented stars.

A porno adaptation of Westworld

"It has great porn scenes, parallel storylines, and a variety of characters. Much of the Golden Age star system is here: Annette Haven, Leslie Bovee, John Leslie. . . Both are among the best of the era, but they anticipate the more standard 80s porn with long scenes, bright lighting, and elaborate sets, which I find less interesting than the raw, improvised, and grimy style of 70s porn."

Theme park theme worth it for Kay Parker

"Weird sci-fi porn, but it's got Kay Parker! She also has a video interview. The soft cut is interesting as a curiosity. Plus lots of other names you might recognize."

VS-

"Anthony Spinelli ‘s SexWorld is a cult adult feature classic from the late 70’s. Top release from Vinegar Syndrome!"

One of VS's best sellers

"One of VS's best selling titles, people seem to love it, so who am I to disagree? More episodic than I expected, there are some very good scenes in this film. Very good cast of what was then pretty much A List talent. There are upgraded versions available."

"haven’t gone around to watching this yet, but the packaging for this is stunning and I know the film itself will not be a letdown"

Sex World

"Wow. This is a crazy movie. Sci fi elements. Nice scenes and locations. High production values. Beautiful cast. Looks great even on dvd. The box art is really excellent. Don't sleep on this one. Maybe the most interesting adult movie I've ever seen. Seems like it's way ahead of it's time. Won't bore you at all. Grab this for your collection."

Westworld, but with sex

"This is essentially a parody of the movie Westworld. People go to Sex World to live out fantasies and hopefully put right issues they're having in their sexual relationships. There's quite a lot of character driven story therefore (more than you might expect), just to explain what's going on with each character and the basis of their fantasies. The fantasies themselves are nothing particularly original and certainly nothing you won't have seen in around 95% of the other porn movies from this era, so don't be expecting anything too kinky. Perhaps the most notable thing is interracial sex (both combinations), which they make a point of setting out as a taboo for some. Production values are actually fairly decent and it's quite well filmed, at least to the point where it's erotic and not grimy (as some porn can be). From my point of view, there are far too many male reaction shots, something which, as noted in the movie 'Don Jon', can be incredibly offputting! For that reason and to me at least, it doesn't really work as a porn movie. As a film to watch and enjoy it's okay, although I haven't watched the soft version yet. It's amusing in places, but not to the point where you'll be chuckling about it to yourself the following week. I can't wholeheartedly recommend it, but I do have a soft spot (or should that be hard?) for porn from this era. The women are generally beautiful, mostly tattoo-less and they have hair in all the right places. It doesn't feel seedy, more a celebration of perfectly natural desires and something we shouldn't shy away from. And to clarify, it is NOTHING like modern porn. Bravo to Vinegar Syndrome for restoring and preserving these movies, although they haven't all aged well they're an important part of history and deserve to be watched and remembered."

One of the true classics of adult films!

""Sex World" is one of the first and best porn films to riff on a Hollywood hit of the time, namely "Westworld". Anthony Spinelli films always had superb production values, and interesting plots...as well as some of the best actors from the adult film world. Vinegar Syndrome did a true service to fans everywhere by restoring this one from its original 35mm camera negative. THEN, they threw in an alternate cut, theatrical trailers, and cast and crew interviews. Job Well Done!"

Classic Porn

"Way better than the old VHS days, and this one is pretty fun. Worth a look if you like classic porn, with a light and fun story."
