From the mind of Ed Wood comes ORGY OF THE DEAD! Horror novelist John and his girlfriend Shirley are taking a night drive, in search of an eerie graveyard that will hopefully inspire John to come up with his next story, but instead stumble into the wild rituals conducted by The Dark Master and his faithful servants. Taken prisoner, they're forced to watch the shocking rites unfold as they await their fate!

Written by the venerable Ed Wood (GLEN OR GLENDA), directed by cult movie maverick, A.C. Stephen (FUGITIVE GIRLS), lighting and camera assistance from >Ted V. Mikels (THE DOLL SQUAD) and starring Criswell (PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE), ORGY is a campy, sexy, and thoroughly outrageous gem from the height of the 'nudie cutie' period and is proudly presented by Vinegar Syndrome on Blu-ray for the first time in a brand new 2k restoration from the original 35mm camera negative!

Reviews

Beautiful

"We are quite lucky to have such barely significant boring trash who's only bit of relevance is being written by an alcoholic Ed Wood get this treatment."

Teun H. (5/5)

Orgy of the Dead

"Very strange movie. Basically it's a bunch of I would guess famous dancers doing their thing on camera. Some good effects to highlight the dancing. Small story to the movie but mostly it's strip dancing. Hey attractive ladies. So interesting to say the least. I'd recommend it just for oddity sake ."

Anthony R. (5/5)

Remaster Ed Woods is something I never knew I’d enjoy!

"I need a full sized poster of this slipcover! I literally don’t understand how they always seems to have such good quality transfers. I need everything by this company!"

Taylor S. (5/5)

What An Orgy!

"Wow! What an Orgy! Thanks to Vinegar Syndrome, you can enjoy an Ed Wood 60's era Nudie Cutie featuring Criswell in a remastered print (grateful for the Bonus Content!)"

Cevan B. (5/5)

Pure Camp Classic in Great Shape

"A delightfully campy cult oddity that delivers exactly what fans expect. The presentation here is strong, with vibrant colors and solid detail that suit the film’s stylized, late-60s aesthetic. Audio is clear and faithful to the original mix. A fun, well-produced release that treats this cult favorite with care"

Thomas L. (5/5)

Loooong

"Aesthetically very cool but each scene just drags. Not sure what I was expecting"

Dave C. (3/5)

Great transfer of the Ed

"Great transfer of the Ed Wood classic but, considering how much has been written about this movie, additional commentaries would have been nice. It is a strange hybrid between a horror/monster movie and burlesque that really begs for analysis."

Ben H. (5/5)

Do you like to see nude women dance?

"I do. But that's really all this movie has going for it. It's too long by a good bit, and frustrating that the one woman I REALLY wanted to see disrobe (the hot Elvira-esque ghoul played by Fawn Silver) is the only one who stays completely covered. Some of the women do look nice, and some of the dances were funny. Very kitschy, and the interview with Nadedja Klein was good. The colors on the restoration do look fantastic."

Adam C. (3/5)

Of historical interest

"As if your local TV station late-night horror hosts were MC for a topless dance recital. Really cheesy lines as written by Ed Wood. Each dance starts in costume, then cuts to just panties or g-string, with some variation in the dancing styles. The best part was the extra with an interview with one of the dancers, who had an interesting life."

David S. (3/5)

The Dead Orgy of Ed Wood in all its glory

"This new limited slip is great. This film rocks and is a must have for Ed Wood fans. Great campy cheese."
