Few sexploitation filmmakers were as bold, daring and bizarre as Walt Davis, the enigmatic auteur behind some of the wildest X rated films to come out of Hollywood.

In EVIL COME, EVIL GO (1972), traveling Evangelist preacher, Sister Sarah Jane (Cleo O'Hara), is hellbent on ridding the world of evil, sex-obsessed men. Taking to the streets of Los Angeles, she quickly befriends a gullible young woman and the two embark on a mad, sex-filled killing spree.

Cleo O'Hara returns in OH! YOU BEAUTIFUL DOLL (1974), an almost surreal blend of madcap improvization and low-rent thrills as over-the-hill film starlet Gaye Ramon lounges around her cluttered Hollywood home, molesting bananas and conning innocent men into taking her carnal acting courses. Meanwhile, a con-artist photographer manipulates beautiful hippies into revealing poses.

Finally, in one of Davis' hardcore efforts, WIDOW BLUE (1970), a homosexual affair results in a gory decapitation and a living room orgy. But more bloodshed is afoot...Featuring an all-star cast, among them John Holmes and Sandy Dempsey, as well as gore effects straight out of H.G. Lewis' playbook, WIDOW BLUE is a demented masterpiece of sex and death, which is coming to home video fully uncut for the very first time!

Vinegar Syndrome presents all three of these mind-numbing X rated classics newly transferred and restored in 2K from their original negatives.

Reviews

Variety

"The triple release of Hell Hath No Fury, Oh You Beautiful Doll, and Widow Blue is a daring collection that blends revenge, glamor, and psychological intensity. What makes this set fascinating is how each film pushes the boundaries of golden age erotica in very different and unforgettable ways."

Bargain Cinema

"Three trashy movies all for ten dollars, what more could you ask for. All three movies were pretty good, I would rank them as Evil Come, Evil Go as the best then Widow Blue second and Oh You Beautiful Doll as my least favorite. It’s a dvd with three films but the picture quality is still pretty descent. I would call this purchase a bargain."

3 hard to find porns

"2 horror themed and 1 comedy, the horrors Evil Come Evil Go and Widow Blue! have weird enough to be interesting."

Kevin K. (4/5)

Evil Come: Evil Goo

"I'm not really sure how to review this, as it's a bizarre watch and difficult to describe. Put simply it's the sort of film which I'd watch with friends, but due to the porn elements I wouldn't want to show it at a film night. The performances are fairly out there, but I can't really say who would enjoy it. As a porn film, it's utterly useless. And as anything other than that, it's also kind of useless. The other two features are equally bizarre. The third one has some man on man action, which isn't really my cup of tea but worth mentioning in case it bothers you. I'm sure someone must love these movies just for the sheer insanity of them, but that someone certainly isn't me. I'm rating it 3 stars for the restoration work which no doubt went into it, as well as just for trying to be a bit different (and succeeding)."

justice for Walt

"Deeply enjoy all the included films, but Evil Come, Evil Go is the standout and then some. An amazing theme song, excellent performances, maybe the greatest cat sexploitation appearance ever (?), and Walt's singular brand of maniac directing coalesce into an excellent night at the picture show like no other."

William M. (4/5)

Three Walt Davis Disasterpieces

"Walt Davis makes Ed Wood look like a true craftsman by comparison. Widow Blue does have a scene where a man and woman kill a dude who's just had sex with another dude and then proceed to have sex on top of his dead body. Kudos to that, I guess."

Phillip N. (2/5)

Insanity!

"This really needs to be reissued on Blu, because Widow Blue is one of the most f**ked up things I've ever seen."

Jeffrey E. (4/5)

Great collection

"Some really out there stuff, and it really holds up nearly 50 years later"

Clint B. (4/5)

Not for me

"weird movie"

When Movies Go Wrong

"Trio of oddball movies each worse than the last. Strident, ugly and unappealing, at their best they resemble the mutant offspring combining the worst aspects of Paul Morrissey and John Waters. The only redeeming feature of the disc set is an interview with Bob Chinn."
