Before finding acclaim as hardcore's greatest actor’s director, Chuck Vincent first dipped his toes into unsimulated territory by helming this duo of low-budget sex comedies for Cecil Howard. Rich with Vincent's distinct sense of humor, this set of forgotten New York programmers have been restored from their original 35mm camera negatives and are on Blu-ray for the first time, from Command Cinema.
The second of his hardcore features, HEAVY LOAD (1975) was Vincent’s box office breakthrough, winning him critical praise and financial success alike. Following the exploits of delivery driver Gus (Jeffrey Hurst), who finds himself fending off a near constant barrage of over-sexed women, including his wife Brenda (Darby Lloyd Rains), beefcake photographer Lillian (Samantha McLaren), waitress Phyllis (Andrea True), along with kinky couple Faith (Kim Pope) and her boy-toy (Jamie Gillis) who go as far as
kidnapping the hapless Gus for their perverted games. They all want a piece of his action while all Gus wants is to get a good night’s sleep! Also starring Susan Sloan and Helen Madigan, this fast-paced comedy graphically illustrates the hard-luck life of a working man.
Vincent’s first unsimulated feature, LECHER (1973), introduces Ray, a lothario and general pig of a man who, in spite of his looks and demeanor, has no problem coaxing all manner of women into his carnal web, be it an English governess, wealthy society lady, or even an innocent Girl Scout. But when Sandy, a sweet young hostess at a pizza parlor, tries to get him to take a more serious and romantic approach to his frenzied sex life, Ray begins to second guess his ways… is he truly capable of change?" "Nice combination in this double feature of Cecil Howard produced, early Chuck Vincent hardcore effort s. Heavy load was my favorite but both are definitely worthwhile for chuck vincent fans (who isn’t?!). Nicely presented release hopefully the Chuck Vincent titles keep coming."

"Another nice release from the great Command Video which are doing a great job recently. Here we get a double feature effort of Mr. Chuck Vincent who always does a great job. Heavy Load was alot of fun and seeing Andrea True in a film in an actual film was worth it alone as I only knew her great disco tune "More, More, More". She's really striking on screen and has a nice presence. Great release."
"The presentation of these films is great, despite the (not unwelcome) signs of wear. The packaging is also, as expected from Command, top notch. Unfortunately, neither of these movies earns higher than a 6/10 from me. Happy to watch them & not disappointed by my purchase, they're nevertheless not awesome."
"Heavy Load a 1975 movie with Jamie Gillis, who seems to be everywhere. Lecher is from 1973. Both great movies. From a time when adult films had a story and characters and wasn't it all about boinking in 20 different positions. I really enjoyed both movies."

"Yep they're slightly silly but more importantly they're good fun and probably set a few sterotypes that dominate porn to this day. Quality is as good as can be expected for something as it's sourced from the original negatives, and sales will never justify a full on restoration. Audio is quiet in places so the subtitles are a nice bonus."
"Unusual for the Command Cinema sub-label, this is a Double Feature of two of Chuck Vincent's earliest hardcore features, from the early 70s. The movies are fun and there are some great people in the cast like a young Jamie Gillis and the always great Georgina Spelvin. They are fairly light on plot, which surprised me. Restorations for both of these rare adult films come from their original camera negatives and thus look pretty amazing. Unfortunately there are no Special features besides the trailers and a little gallery. No booklet is included. Thankfully though there English subtitles are included, as the dialogue in both films can be fairly hard to understand sometimes."
