"This is a great release of another Cecil Howard flick which I do consider more cinema than porn, he really made a character driven melodrama with some really surprising acting by Eric Edward's and we get the great Sharon Mitchell too. Great photography and a ton of extras too. Great purchase!"
"I viewed this film on the Firestorm Peekarama Blu-ray Limited Edition physical media released through Vinegar Syndrome’s sister-website Mélusine and it is the same great premium level of packaging and presentation that you’ve come to expect from the generic releases of this boutique label. No other brand beats Vinegar Syndrome at the cardboard game and this great slipcover is no exception to the consistently fantastic artwork and component quality this company produces. "Even though touted as one of the last great adult films released theatrically, this Cecil Howard's movie is not all that impressive. CONS : This release is supposed to be scanned & restored in 4K from its original 35mm camera negative, but in a few scenes, there are numerous and visible specks, scratches and flickers that easily could have been fixed in post production and restoration. There is also an annoying yellow/white spot right in the middle of the frame in 2-3 scenes that sometimes land on actors faces which is distracting. Fortunately this Blu-ray release is color-corrected and an improvement on previous versions. Eric Edwards is a decent porn actor, but watching his sunburned body is almost painful to watch. Veronica Hart in a non-sexual - non-speaking role is just a set decoration. A MAJOR let down : NO CLOSE CAPTIONS. NO SUBTITLES. Pros : Great looking actresses, nice locations & nice cinematography. Wonderful extras such as two commentaries, an informative interview, featurettes, a trailer and a restoration comparison. . . And . . . . a very nice slipcover. Overall, if not the best, it ain't the worst either."
