Chuck Vincent, god
"Don’t watch the trailer! Great Chuck Vincent comedy whodunnit with a porno twist, and a twist at the end that I did not see coming. A good time. Fun art booklet and poster, the artwork overall is good."

The crown jewel of sophisticated erotica, filmmaker Cecil Howard's COMMAND CINEMA presents lavish Blu-ray and 4K UHD editions of Howard's own masterworks, alongside those he produced with other hardcore auteurs such as Chuck Vincent, Roberta Findlay, and Armand Weston.
While hosting a masked orgy, socialite Scarlet is murdered by an unknown killer. Hired to investigate the case is put upon private dick Dexter Sleuth who immediately takes to interviewing the soiree’s various guests. From politicians, to gossip columnists, to broadway stars, to stag film producers, it seems that everyone had a motive to stick it to Scarlet, but who really did it? As the bumbling detective attempts to narrow down the suspect pool, the mysterious assailant decides to bump off Sleuth but, due to repeated unfortunate timing, leaves a trail of other corpses along the way!
Acclaimed filmmaker Chuck Vincent (Roommates, Misbehavin') teamed up with legendary producer Cecil Howard (Firestorm, Neon Nights) for this uproarious send-up to detective thrillers and hard-boiled whodunits. "Don’t watch the trailer! Great Chuck Vincent comedy whodunnit with a porno twist, and a twist at the end that I did not see coming. A good time. Fun art booklet and poster, the artwork overall is good."
"The cover looks cheap. I don't like empty white backgrounds. As for the movie, I found it brilliant. It actually has a story with, you know, characters! Picture quality is great like always and in this kind of movie the subtitles are a huge plus in my book."
"Farewell Scarlet is another adult gem that goes beyond the typical erotic title. This movie is a funny take on the neo noir detective story. The plot and acting are really well done. The quality of the restoration is fantastic. The movie looks great. Besides a trailer and booklet, not too much included for extras. The OCN slipcover is gorgeous. Check this one out."
"Pretty fun neo noir porn flick from the 1970s directed by the always dependable Chuck Vincent. I always remember seeing the artwork and being very intrigued by it. It's very charming and funny and I had a pretty good time watching it. The picture quality is really nice."
"Nice sex scenes and a really good criminal story."
"Really enjoyed this fun murder mystery film! The story was different and enjoyable to watch. Eric Edwards always gives a great performance. Would've liked more bonus features - but the included booklet was pretty nice."
"Great adult film. Good video and audio quality."
"Stylish and atmospheric, with a darker tone and a strong sense of melodrama. The restoration looks great and highlights the film’s shadowy, late-night feel."
"Movie: Frustrating, because this is very close to being really engaging but mostly falls short. There are many jokes that I find somewhat funny, but not enough to make me actually laugh when they happen. That said, I did really enjoy a lot of aspects, e. g. the on-the-nose character names (like a Senator named Graft), the thunder when the name "Scarlet" is said, and the ending where it becomes as funny as I wanted it to be all along. Also, Terri Hall ("National Velvet") is especially stunning as the titular Scarlet. Extras: Always nice to have the trailer, and I like that there is some music playing over the gallery. Book: Just images, which is fine. Packaging: Overall looks nice and neat."
"I mean, what else could you ask for really. Everything else after this was just irrelevant. This is cinema at its peak."
