This listing is for the standard edition 4K UHD/Blu-ray. The limited edition gold foil magnet clasp slipcase + slipcover set (designed by Rich Long) was limited to 4,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the packaging.

Catherine's life is one of luxury. But since the death of her beloved father, her stately family home, luxurious car, and refined sensibilities have not brought her happiness. Aloof and disinterested in her husband and daughter, Catherine prefers to spend her evenings engaged in sensual fantasies while sitting amongst the items from her childhood bedroom, now stored in a dark attic. But one stormy night, while seated in front of a large mirror, her father - or a demon in his shape - appears in the reflection, promising her untold pleasures and happiness if she simply comes through the glass. Frightened at first, Catherine eventually gives in and begins to visit the steadily more sinister world inside the mirror. But with each dream-like trip, the dark truths of her past, which she has tried so long to forget, start becoming more and more clear, all as the sinister power of temptation becomes wholly irresistible...

An unsettling supernatural thriller which explores the terror of long buried trauma, director Jonas Middleton (Just Before Dawn) and screenwriter Ron Wertheim's (Memories Within Miss Aggie) genre defying masterpiece, THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, ranks as one of the finest examples of hardcore filmmaking ever produced. Assembling a outstanding cast headed by Catherine Burgess (Cinderella 2000, Expose Me Lovely), Jamie Gillis (Dracula Sucks), Teri Hall (The Story of Joanna), Kim Pope (The Intrusion), and Roger Caine (Martin) and featuring an acclaimed original score composed by Arlon Ober (Eating Raoul) and Harry Manfredini (Friday the 13th), this unforgettable journey into the macabre is at last making its 4K UHD and Blu-ray debut from Mélusine, newly scanned and restored from its 35mm original negative and loaded with extras.

Reviews

Crazy artistic XXX take on

"Crazy artistic XXX take on Alice in Wonderland if it was all a psychological nightmare. Not sexy perse, but definitely leaves a lasting impression. Love the artwork on the case/slipcover, and the disc is pretty stacked with extras including a bonus feature."

Kyle C. (4/5)

Beautiful restoration and 4K release

"Beautiful restoration and 4K release by Melusine. Great movie with a good blend of erotica and actually story. Overall a very good release with nice scenes and atmosphere!"

Onno G. (5/5)

Catharine Through The (Dirty) Looking Glass

"Beautifully composed, morally questionable daddy issue incest variation on Alice in Wonderland. Gothic vibes, at times surreal and very 70s (a compliment!) with a very nice score as well. Beautiful restoration just goes to show that a lot of pornographers were just as talented filmmakers as the "straight" guys. Definitely one of the most interesting and unique adult films of the era."

Michael C. (5/5)

perfect release, problem with box

"As for the transfer, content and presentation, everything is flawless. This is an experience the moment you open the box and see the quality until the credits finally roll. I had an issue with the slipbox, it damaged the disc case and got stuck, and requiered extreme force to open again for no reasson whatsoever. I would say to be extremely careful and even use tape on the inside to prevent a collectors nightmare."

Thomas F. (4/5)

Saucy

"Blends Horror and Erotica together to make for a fun evening at home. Alone"

Jerry L. (5/5)

Easily the best this film

Through The Looking Glass - 4K Blu-Ray review

"Interesting concept, great scenes, amazing restoration. Jamie Gillis is present like in most of these movies from Melusine."

NIKOS D. (5/5)

Through The Looking Glass Review

"Saw this movie years ago, I really liked it, and I was able to see this a few months ago after not seeing it in a long while. Then while searching your site I found it and decided to buy it. The movie has a great undercurrent to it and is very dark, which you don't see until the end of the movie. When I received it the packaging it came in was amazing. I am very pleased with my purchase."

Vaughnceil S. (5/5)

Hell Has Never Looked Better!

"Fantastic set for a real jewel in the Golden Age erotic cinema crown. The new restoration has this looking better than ever, and the whole package is worthy of any shelf. The extras rival any I have seen, including commentary, trailers, video and audio interviews with the director, deleted scenes, stills, AND Jonas Middleton's entire first feature. Packaged in Mélusine's distinctive black and gold slipcase/cover combo (although for the life of me, I cannot see what's magnetic about it) and including an art card, reversible cover, and booklet compiled by the esteemed Ashley West of the Rialto Report. If this is still in stock as you are reading this, you NEED it."
