What Ever Happened to Baby Rosemary?

"These two releases from the Peekarama/Vinegar Syndrome catalog are well worth a look. "HOT LUNCH" has a few good scenes, it builds up a solid momentum only to fizzle out with a predictable & lackluster finale. However, "Desiree Cousteau" is a major highlight; though she may not have been the most polished actress, she possessed a screen presence that many porn performers lack. Her natural charisma & definitive "it" factor remains difficult to replicate. "Baby Rosemary" is refreshingly weird and unusual, a perfect choice for those tired of the formulaic "rinse and repeat" porn films of the mid-70s. Its surreal & unorthodox script has a dreamlike, almost Lynchian quality, that sets it apart from its contemporaries. The lovely "Leslie Bovee" brings her signature spark to the screen."

Good combo

"This is a good combo of movies especially for the price. The quality of the restoration is great, and truly do justice to the pictures. The girls are mostly pretty attractive for movies of this era and are certainly more than enough to keep your interest. It may not be the best movies ever, but for the price those are definitely decent purchases."

Good transfers, middling movies

"I can't honestly call either title genuinely good, but they' certainly have their moments. Baby Rosemary can be genuinely unsettling, but too often just wanders all over the place, while Hot Lunch actually kind of grew on me after the first two scenes kind of left me cold. I guess I'm starting to succumb to the charms of Desiree Cousteau, as she's adorable once again here, and the chemistry between Christine DeShaffer and Jon Martin/Jerry Heath is kind of low-level Hepburn/Tracy as it moves toward its romantic conclusion. Hot Lunch also looks pretty sharp and has a solid music score."

"These movies are fun to watch, unlike Gonzo adult "scenes" that try to out extreme each other. Sexy Stuff!"
