Founded in 2006, Wild Eye Releasing has carved out a name as a driving force in low-budget, underground, and outsider cinema, earning a cult following among filmmakers and fans alike. Wild Eye champions horror, action, sci-fi, exploitation, arthouse, documentaries, and vintage gems from across the globe, delivering them worldwide via home video, digital and theatrical avenues. We also produce our own in-house features and mockbusters like the fan-favorites Cocaine Shark, Amityville in Space and the Ouija Shark and Jurassic Shark series, while proudly distributing VHS era classics such as Splatter Farm, Zombie Bloodbath, Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell and The Necro Files via our sister imprint, Visual Vengeance.

When a pop star sensation known only as “Mr. J” disappears from the spotlight, his biggest fans go looking for him (led by adult icon Tajia Rae) and stumble into a labyrinth of filth and horror that defies reason. Because deep beneath Mr. J’s stage persona lies a subterranean cabaret crawling with werewolves, zombies, mutants, and hunchbacks, all possessed by their most wanton desires and waiting for new victims. The groupies soon find themselves swept into a hallucinatory musical of temptation and transformation, where fame becomes flesh and the shape-shifting superstar unleashes a secret sexual weapon so monstrous, so carnal, it turns screams into creams and fulfills the title’s promise in the most jaw-dropping way. When the music ends, the drilling begins!

One of the strangest adult film artifacts ever to crawl out of the 1980s, Driller is a grimy subbasement stew of MTV spectacle, perverted set pieces and monster movie tropes. Shot quickly at the height of the cultural mania created by Michael Jackson’s Thriller, this bizarre 1984 adult horror parody reaches for the stars with choreographed sound-alike dance numbers, funhouse mirror sex scenes and impressive make up effects that rival any low budget horror film of the time. This forgotten relic from the outer edges of the Reagan-era gleams with all the warped sexual excess of the 1980s – where pop culture and pornography often collided – like a hypnotic, half-remembered dream pulled right off the dusty shelves of an adult video store in the bowels of purgatory.

Driller

"Fun Wacky porn musical parody take on "Thriller"! It's goofy MTV era horror porno musical madness! Crazy sets, cheesy horror props, a werewolf! What more do you really want out of something like this! Crazy Fun Adult entertainment! A+"

Cause this is Driller!

"This film looks phenomenal on Blu-ray. Packed with plenty of extras including an interview you won’t by want to miss. Not to mention the awesome artwork that adorns the release."

Mark H. (5/5)

Bizarre,strange and entertaing flick😎👌

"This was one trippy ride buckle up. Zaney,Strange and well executed. So if you like your adult films sprinkled with a touch of razzel dazzzel Driller is it."

Deon C. (5/5)

A novelty

"Thriller was such a phenomenon, of course there’d be a porn parody. This one was a pretty rough watch. It looks really bad. If you like VHS quality, you got it. Part sex film, part music video. Go in with low expectations and you’ll be alright. Worth a watch."

Matthew M. (3/5)

“Oh Dan”

"A Bizarre Gritty Grimy Gothic Comedic Horror. Full of sets costumes and practical effects, which is my favorite part of the whole thing. I didn’t expect to laugh as much as I did, because of the dub. It’s so chaotic and repetitive. A lot of the middle is choppy sex scenes and drags especially with dance numbers, although enjoyable, being a little too long. This is my introduction to Taija Rae and I liked her a lot. Wish there was more of her and The Werewolf in it. But as I was watching it felt like something special. The transfer is from Betacam Master Tapes. Because of that it does look like an old yet watchable VHS tape. With little scratches here and there but nothing huge or that distracts from it. Sound is good. Great slipcover and comes with mini poster of Taija Rae."

Ezra N. (4/5)

Fun

"Driller (1984) is a sleazy shot-on-video oddity that blends adult film sensibilities with low-budget horror, giving it a gritty underground feel that perfectly fits its era. Its bizarre premise and unapologetic grindhouse energy have helped it earn a strange cult status among collectors and fans of obscure ‘80s exploitation."

Shane P. (5/5)

Oh come on oh come on aaaaaaaa

"It was pretty fun the first 30min but then it dragged. Nice poster and slipcover and I have to say the dubbing of this movie is hilarious."

Christoffer R. (3/5)

Awful and not at all

"Awful and not at all interesting. Doesn't look goo either."

Edward l. (1/5)

Oh boy. . .

"There are two different aspects to my review: the movie itself and the video quality. The movie is what it is: a crazy, low budget, trashy spoof of Thriller. And I enjoyed it quite a lot, especially for the main actress and for the crazy sets. But the video quality…ew. That's rough. I knew this was sourced from Betamax, but still I expected something more consistent. Some scenes are really painful to look at. This should have been an extra feature released with some other film. I don't regret the purchase, since I enjoyed the movie, but I strongly recommend waiting for a sale."

DARIO T. (2/5)

Could do with a bit more work

"Intro and end credits are a bit jittery. Whole thing looks a little soft focus so not the best. Still some areas with dead pixels and dirt. OK but could have done with a bit more work."
