The incomparable Leslie Bovee plays Champagne, a high paid advertising executive in need of a chauffeur. Harry (John Leslie) is a crafty, down on his luck entrepreneur in need of a job. Learning of Champagne's search and figuring that his chances of getting hired will increase if he pretends to be gay, he cons his way into her employment. How long will he be able to hide his sexual urges? What will happen when he's found out?

"Champagne For Breakfast is what you get when you match a good cast, a script that's neither too light or too serious (with a momentary exception or two) and someone behind the camera who knows what they're doing. It kind of has the feel and style of a 40's comedy, just with an awful lot of sex. Lesllie Bovee is typically charming as the title character, with John Leslie taking a welcome change, or adding some twists at least, to his trademark ladies' man schtick. Surrounded by a who's who of California talent, it all goes down smooth, even if it goes on a bit too long."

"Will John Leslie's comically homophobic protagonist learn a lesson in tolerance by driving several miles in a gay man's shoes? As if! Nothing threatening to patriarchal heteronormativity here. It even ends with a marriage! Good fun though."
