Two erotic classics from one of the maverick filmmakers in NYC's sexploitation scene, John Christopher.

PUSSYCAT RANCH:
Two old west bank robbers take refuge on a rural farm that's been threatened with foreclosure, as they try to escape the law. Instead they find themselves caught up in a web of non-stop lust with the local girls, until a genius plan is hatched: to open a brothel!

HERE COMES THE BRIDE:
Rhonda is a more than meets the eye kind of woman. She knows how to get what she wants. When she decides to marry the nice boy downstairs, she tells her flimsy fiance that she is a virgin, and dedicated to preserving her untouched body for the wedding night. However, we will see what kind of tricks she has up her sleeves at her bachelorette party and beyond.

Here comes the fox is more like it

"Tend not to like period pieces, especially westerns, but the second feature of this double bill makes up for that. It may not be high art, but Here Comes the Bride has Samantha Fox, some great scenery, and some well shot sex scenes. The restoration is top notch, too, and all it takes is having the prior not great (trying to be nice) VCX release."

Two x Fox

""Pussycat Ranch" is a witless western comedy in which the lead actresses announce upfront that they are "horny" with the filmmakers finding that a sufficient spark to let nature take its repetitive course. "Here Comes the Bride" is a one joke movie which quickly runs out of steam with its predictability. Samantha Fox looks great in the second feature though is oddly credited as being "introduced" in both."

Chef’s Kiss

"Absolutely awesome!"

The Hill Willy Bares

"The first movie in this set appears to be an attempt at comedy, although I emphasise the word 'attempt'. It's some sort of hillbilly porn and the music starts off as you'd expect in that regard. For whatever reason, the rest of the movie features a lot of disco music which seems out of place given how it started. But even stranger still, they've stolen several pieces of Ennio Morricone music from Once Upon a Time in the West, including one of the most beautiful pieces ever written (the bit where Claudia Cardinale steps off the train). Sacrilege! Throughout the film there are comedy 'doing' noises, for whatever reason. It's such a jumbled mess. I must admit I barely recognised Eric Edwards at first, with his afro style long curly hair. We're introduced fairly early on to the stunning Arcadia Lake, although sadly this is one of the worst sex scenes I think I've ever witnessed. It's essentially just Eric Edwards doing pressups on top of Arcadia, which is about as erotic as it sounds. She even has knee high boots on... what a waste! Anyway, just to make it weirder still, near the end we're treated to Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene Part 4 (or a version of it). Why? Here Comes the Bride is the second feature. It's essentially a couple reminiscing about their sexual exploits. It's not particularly interesting and most of the adult scenes are so-so. It's full of fairly decent disco music (I actually had it on in the background later that day while working because I liked the soundtrack so much!). EXCEPT ONE TRACK. It goes... 'Magic, you've got the magic, boy you turn me on, turn me on'... Over and over and over and over again! Honestly, it's enough to drive a person mad! Anyway, those are my thoughts. I can't really recommend this release other than to see the stunning Arcadia Lake naked. Neither film is anything special, Pussycat Ranch is the more interesting of the two but unless you have a real thing for hillbilly porn or Eric Edwards playing Billy the Kid (sort of) then I would probably avoid."

Well made

"Really enjoyed the pair"

Zachary W. (5/5)

Samantha Fox double feature

"Pussycat Ranch is the best of the two - a comedy - it also "steals" Ennio Morricone Western themes"

Two films by director John Christopher

"This release features two films by director John Christopher. These films, from the late 70s, feature some great talent of the time, including Samantha Fox. The plots on these films are nothing fantastic, however there is definitely some funny and interesting dialogue worth watching for. Worth picking up if you are a fan of Samantha Fox."

Pair of Samantha Fox

"Good pair of titles with Samantha Fox, who I love, so this was very enjoyable. And I always find Joey Silvera funny. Looks very nice, as well."
