60s madness
"These are both about 20 minutes too long, but still incredible time capsules and just generally enjoyable drive in trash."

After a successful career producing some of the biggest studio films of the late 50s, Albert Zugsmith decided to follow his passion for directing. His extensive and extremely diverse body of work combined art film pretention with drive-in sleaze, resulting in thoroughly unique hybrid projects. Vinegar Syndrome presents two of his most sought-after films completely uncut!
ON HER BED OF ROSES (1966):
A deranged sniper shoots at cars on a freeway, only to commit suicide as the police close in. In a series of flashbacks, the people who knew this disturbed young man reflect on what might have caused him to embark on his deadly rampage. Directed by Albert Zugsmith (Confessions of an Opium Eater), On Her Bed of Roses is an odd blending of post-noir, Vietnam era character drama and drive-in sleaze. Presented here in its rarely seen international 'hot' version and restored from the original 35mm negative.
THE INCREDIBLE SEX REVOLUTION (1965):
A young woman relays her sexual hang-ups to her psychiatrist. As her problems play out in flashbacks, the psychiatrist shares stories of historical sex, leading up to an orgiastic conclusion.

"Two mid 60s exploitation gems. VS has done a good job on these films. Recommended."
"A great set of drive in features from a bygone era."
"Retro X features on VS DVD! Thank you VS!"
"When one of the films of this double-feature DVD casts the future screenwriter of “Blade Runner” as Adam (as in “Adam and Eve”), you kinda have to own this! Kicking things off, The Incredible Sex Revolution starts off as a classic white-coater (with a Doctor of Philosophy, no less!) about the origin of the “modern” practice of wife swapping — but quickly settles into a long therapy session about a woman’s sexual hang-ups about “free love”. The movie offers a peek into mid-60s culture — with copious amounts of breasts on display. On Her Bed of Roses aims for loftier subject matter — a mentally-imbalanced man shoots up the freeway before killing himself, and the lead-up to his rampage is laid out in flashbacks by the people who knew him. Weirdly, it features the same therapist from the first film! Was this a sequel? Who cares! If you enjoy naked women dancing, this is for you!"
"On Her Bed of Roses - surreal arthouse/sleaze ( incestuous subplot, nymphomania,a domineering mother and topless dancing for no real reason) hybrid Incredible Sex Revolution - white coater sexploitation told in flashback"
"1960’s Black & White. Nice to add to the collection."
"Vinegar Syndrome's release of "On Her Bed of Roses" serves as a captivating capsule of a bygone era, presenting a visually enhanced edition that preserves the film's unique atmosphere. The restoration work breathes new life into the scenes, capturing the essence of the time and providing a poignant look at the film's themes. This release is a commendable addition to Vinegar Syndrome's repertoire, offering viewers a chance to revisit and appreciate a classic from a distinct cinematic era."
"Excellent restorations."
"I absolutely love the Drive-In Collection series. The best line that VinSyn has to offer! If you love B Movie/70s porn/sexploitation double features you can't go wrong with any title in the series! Pick up a few and show it love and some support"
