"I became aware of this Peekarama double feature because of the director of these two films - Paul Vatelli. He also did "I like to watch" and "Sorority Sweethearts", which Vinegar Syndrome released together on a great Blu-Ray edition. While his films don't tend to have a lot of plot, he's got a great eye for shooting sex scenes in high quality and with beautiful music. The production values in his films are top notch, comparable to contemporaries like Roberta Findlay or Cecil Howard. And of all this can also be said about these two films. "Nasty Nursed" is drama with comedic touches, set in a hospital. The cast features Kay Parker, Paul Thomas, Herschel Savage and the legendary John Holmes. Nuff said. "Let's talk sex" is the lesser of the two, but more light hearted and also enjoyable. Both films were restored from their original camera negatives and look outstanding, especially for a DVD."

Let’s Talk Sex is the Standout Title
"Nasty Nurses was rather formulaic so I’m focusing on the second title in this Peekarama double bill. As the phone sex phenomenon grew in popularity in the early 1980s, a slew of phone sex operator flicks ensued. Bob Chinn’s The Young Like it Hot, starring Hyapatia Lee, is one of the standouts. So is Paul Vatelli’s Let’s Talk Sex, starring Brigitte Monet. The film opens with one of the aforementioned fantasy sequences with Monet as a nurse getting off the late shift in a gritty Schrader-esque sequences, with Platinum Black’s incredible synth-noir score pumping away. Fantastic performances by Monet, Kevin James, Pat Manning, Kitten Natividad, and Melanie Scott, with many of Vatelli’s usual suspects making cameo appearances. Plenty of character, and the sex scenes never overstay their welcome. Worth noting that the soundtrack for the fantasy sequences is overdubbed with the callers voices. Some might be annoyed by it, but it’s an interesting stylistic choice. It’s these little touches that make Vatelli’s films stand out. A master at work during the final hurrah of 35mm adult filmmaking."
