Customers appreciated the excellent restoration and fast delivery of these vintage DVDs. The transfer quality was also praised for looking good and fantastic. However, opinions on the double-feature were mixed, with some finding it silly and roughie.

"Two feature films with common themes and great transfers. Abduction of an American Playgirl starts out rough but turns into more of a comedy--reminiscent of Joy. Winter Heat is a "Roughie" through and through. I'm glad I picked this one up before it went out of print."

"Abduction: starts out grim before slipping right into silly comedy making it not the film you might expect given the title. Both feature a solid transfer to disc but winter heat definitely brings a rougher edge to it. Consider this a silly and roughie double-feature in a lot of ways."

"Two for the price of one. The first one was hilarious. The second Winter Heat wasn´t to my liking as it contained rape, but in th end it turned good. Good transfers and the first one great fun."
"A couple of rougher releases in this Peekarama set, Abduction of an American Playgirl and Winter Heat share a common theme of kidnapping and hostages. Some of the plot is pretty rough, but it definitely showcases the 70s exploitation when it comes to this genre. Mild recommend."
"My 4/5 stars for this release is on the strength of the main feature, "Abduction Of An American Playgirl". Very humorous, and I liked the lead actress. She was cute, a bit soft in the middle, and all real (no implants). This was a fun picture I plan to watch again. The second one "Winter Heat" was not my style. It's what is known as a "roughie", but from other comments it seems it splits the middle. Not horror/degrading enough for real roughie fans, but not aimed at the more conventional porn crowd either. The women are fine, but too often fully clothed. If you're the type who appreciates visual eye candy. this one has too much sex with people still in flannel shirts. Others may like it more, but I probably won't watch again."
