Presented in partnership with Something Weird Video...

From nudies to roughies to ultra weird regional curiosities, the sexploitation world welcomed any filmmaker working in any genre, so long as the limits of nudity and sex on screen were pushed as far as they could go - but never all the way. DISTRIBPIX, one of the legendary names in the genre (and whose extensive library will be the backbone of this line), will offer single, double, and even triple feature Blu-rays highlighting works from every corner and crevice of softcore smut, from the dawn of nudie cuties to the all-but-hard 70s, with plentiful lost and never on disc films along the way.

Few filmmakers epitomize the aesthetics of vintage Times Square cinema better than Michael Findlay. Often collaborating with his wife Roberta who served as cinematographer and occasional actor alongside him, the couple created sick and sordid classics which still retain their power to shock. Released at the end of their '60s streak of unforgettable roughies which included the notorious Flesh Trilogy, this set of sleaze classics have been newly restored in 4K from their original camera negatives by Distribpix + Something Weird, replete with in-depth extras including a fresh conversation with Roberta Findlay herself!

Michael Findlay plays Richard Davis in A THOUSAND PLEASURES, where, fresh from murdering his wife, he gets caught disposing of her corpse and is promptly abducted to a remote seaside house by a group of man-hating lesbians. Forced into becoming their slave, Richard is soon subjected to all manner of depravity and torture, the likes of which he never even imagined.

Uta Erickson winds up in rural Vermont looking for sexual kicks in THE ULTIMATE DEGENERATE, as she comes under the control of Michael Findlay playing a ruthless, insatiable sadist. With the help of his servant Bruno, he keeps a pack of women around the house acting out exceedingly stranger, more lurid kinks. This sexual trap seems to offer no release, but what does the degenerate really desire?

Reviews

More Findlay Insanity

"Yet another killer release from Distibpix of these Michael Findlay gems. Great booklet/essays and disc features including bonus film Take Me Naked. Nice companion piece to the Flesh Trilogy."

— Matthew M. (5/5)

This the first time I

"This the first time I picked up something from Distribpix and this is a great release. The features including the extras add a lot of value to the purchase. I've seen this one before but it was a poor quality rip. It's nice to have a high quality version of this film. Another great Something Weird pickup."

— shane r. (5/5)

This is a great release.

"This is a great release. The picture quality is amazing and we get a whole bunch of extras including a great audio by Casey Scott who sure knows his stuff. Any Michael Findlay release is welcome in my book and this one has some great shots of Coney Island in the 1960s courtesy of Roberta Findlay. Love this sleazy gem a must by. I hope Distribpix continues releasing more of them."

— Bryan K. (5/5)

More Michael Findlay

"I'm surprised this hasn't sold out already. Michael and Roberta Findlay are essential 1960s sleaze makers. This set goes great with Findlay's "Flesh Trilogy". The movies were scanned and restored from the original camera negatives by Distribpix and Something Weird."

— Jason P. (5/5)

Super double bill

"A super double bill here, two great movies in great packaging. Both look really good, and extras are cool."

— Jakob P. (5/5)

Stylish scuzz

"Outstanding skeeziness! Sleaze-O-Rama! Fantastic physical presentation too, with press photo reproductions and a double sided poster! Excellent transfers and extras too."

— chris c. (5/5)

Grab it

"The Ultimate Degenerate and A Thousand Pleasures make for a gloriously sleazy double feature packed with everything you’d expect from vintage exploitation cinema. Cheap, trashy, excessive, and completely unapologetic, this is the kind of cinematic filth that makes collecting this stuff so much fun."

— Shane P. (5/5)

Filthy Findlay Frenzy!

"Another great Michael & Roberta Findlay collection from Distribpix. The transfers for the main features are crystal clear and immaculate (even Take Me Naked looks good for a SD source) and the commentaries were chock full of information and details. If you like your roughies bizarre and truly one-of-a-kind, this is the set for you!"

— Barry D. (5/5)

Some great old timey sleaze

"Great double feature of some old sleaze lovingly restored. The stories themselves are actual pretty gripping for something of this fare. Loving these collaborations with Something Weird to bring back this old stuff that would otherwise be lost to time."

— Brent B. (5/5)

Not as good as the Flesh trilogy, but still very solid

"Michael Findlay's work sits right on the intersection of pornography and grindhouse cinema. While not as bracing as his "Flesh" trilogy, The Ultimate Degenerate and A Thousand Pleasures show Findlay continuing to develop and push the boundaries of his cinematic niche. The Vinegar Syndrome Blus look absolutely great (especially considering the source elements), and the set is loaded with great special features."

— Joshua K. (5/5)
