"I expected grim and grim is what I got"
"Kim Pope gives an amazing performance of a woman tormented by a man entering her home (posing as a traveling salesman). Often considered not for the squeamish (if this type of thing is not up your alley). Another restored cult classic (1975) which was so extreme, that the director other facets of production appear to still not be officially confirmed. . As always, a solid restoration by Melusine. I love 70s cinema and if you are the same, I highly recommend."
"The Intrusion is just the kind of sleazy mid-70’s “roughie” that I love! The same edgy, nasty atmosphere that permeates the likes of Forced Entry and Sex Wish is present here, alongside very strong performances. Kim Pope is great as is Michael Dattore. The dissonant score only adds to the tone. Some sources claim Zebedy Colt as the director, which has a ring of truth about it. My only disappointment is the realism level of the violence at the end could have been enhanced, but the film is obviously taboo enough already! The interview with Dattore is very good, as is the gritty look of the transfer. This is definitely what I want more of, Melusine!"
"I actually picked this one up thinking it was another film, they share a similar plot. It wasn't a bad release, and for the price, was a welcome addition to my collection. The other movie was Forces Entry."
"Definitely an interesting one, if not one I'll be revisiting often. Pretty grim, but very well done. Kim Pope is a standout!"
"Great cast and nice score. Overall a good release!"
"I actually enjoyed this movie more than I anticipated, it's well acted, the score makes the movie more terrifying than it probably is & your never really sure if you're watching an adult movie or a home invasion one. Very good transfer to DVD, a massive improvement over the VHS copy I'd seen."
"I'll be honest, I knew there was a possibility this wasn't for me when I ordered it, it looks like something I would be wary of, but for the price it was on sale, I figured I'd roll the dice. I was right, I'm not really into the assault stuff. I see score is recommended with this one, but I don't think I made it far enough to notice."
"One of the most effective home invasion films I've seen. The restoration is solid, and the interview with Michael gaunt is very interesting."
"Kim pope is amazing in this"
