San Francisco based Jim & Artie Mitchell were at the forefront of bringing the sexual revolution to American cinema. Working within their filmmaking collective known as Cinema 7, the brothers and their group of regular artistic collaborators created dozens of intelligent, thought provoking, and radically minded erotic feature and short films. Mitchell Brothers Film Group will bring their extraordinary body of work to Blu-ray and 4K UHD in deluxe, restored editions, many of which will be coming to disc for the first time.
With ocean waves crashing below, Eve sits by herself atop a cliff. Suddenly a man approaches her; the man who will change her life forever. Her memories of childhood torment slowly give way to the optimism of young adulthood, and a chance at happiness with successful DJ Frank Paradise, but everything changes in a near-fatal instant when a car crash leaves Eve disfigured. While her new face emerges and her scars start to heal, she must now accept that those who seemed to love her may not have had Eve's true desires and best interests in mind. The chains of conformity begin to strain as Eve learns the value of overcoming her deep-rooted guilt and repression.
Following the sensational success of Behind the Green Door, the Mitchell Brothers felt they needed to create something even bigger and more meaningful as a follow-up. With their regular cinematographer Jon Fontana, taking on co-directing duties along with Artie Mitchell, RESURRECTION OF EVE was another instant smash hit, infused with pointed commentary on race and women's liberation. Starring as the three versions of Eve, Marilyn Chambers (Insatiable), along with Mimi Morgan (Femmes DeSade) and Nancy Weich in their feature film debuts, the film also boasts a strong supporting performance from Johnnie Keyes (Heavenly Desire). With a tremendous original soundtrack by Richard Wynkoop and extraordinary visuals and editing by Jon Fontana and Mark Bradford EVE further elevated the art of erotica and at last comes to Blu-ray newly restored in 4k from the Mitchell Brothers Film Group.

Slow & Solid but lacking
"I think the relationship dynamic in this is interesting. A big issue preventing me from really liking this is the core idea takes forever to get to. We're at halfway before it happens and that just does not leave time for any of the plot beats after to really hit. And I'm sorry but I don't believe our lead is a prude when she's willing to have sex everytime she's asked outside of orgies. And that opening scene is just not excusable and makes it next to impossible to recommend to anyone. Again: great case! Wish I liked this more!"

4 stars for the X-Rated 1970's movie
"Excellent Blu Ray movie package and booklet. The story is pretty good and the sex scene is fairly good. This is Marilyn Chambers second film of the Mitchell Brothers films and she does a ok acting job. The Behind the Green Door is a much better film, story and the sex scene is totally hotter, then Resurrection of Eve. The transfer of the film to Blu Ray is very good. I gave it a 4 stars for the film and storyline. Joe NY"

The box and restoration were
"The box and restoration were all excellent it's a great package. The film itself honestly, this would go for both the MBFG releases I've purchased so far, the way they depict IR relations comes across a touch racist to me but other than that an excellent film with great performances from the lead in particular."
— Cameron F. (4/5)
Resurrection of Eve is another
"Resurrection of Eve is another great release by Mélusine! The packaging is stellar as always. The film itself is pretty good. The take on relationships and polyamory is very mature for the time. While it doesn’t hit the highs of Behind the Green Door, it’s well shot and the sex scenes are varied to stay interesting."

Pyschodrama
"The Mitchell Brothers were not afraid to explore the wider aspects of sexuality long before our (supposedly) more liberated times and this film is a prime example of that."
