MY SINFUL LIFE:

This double feature of classic adult films from the early eighties offers a fun and gloriously ridiculous experience. The films have been beautifully restored and transferred, providing a fantastic viewing experience.

"Seeing 70s legend Jamie Gillis share the screen with the rising 80s star Tom Byron is like watching a passing of the torch in real-time. But the real soul of the film is Danielle, the bottle-blonde stoner gal who wanders through the plot like she’s in a different movie entirely. If My Sinful Life has a bit of narrative meat, Las Vegas Girls is pure celluloid air. It’s a movie that exists primarily because someone had a camera and a plane ticket to Nevada."

"'My Sinful Life' is Peak Tobalina, from a similar time to Oriental Hawaii and Mai Lin vs Serena, and sharing the style of those films. This is a gloriously ridiculous and fun film, all sunshine and knowing silliness, with the incest angle taken to ridiculous extremes, as Jill (the mono-monickered "Danielle") goes to stay with her sexy aunt, explaining that she's fed up with having to have sex with her parents all the time (and her brother at that), resulting in a flashback to her parents' tender bathing ministrations followed by a foursome between Danielle, mom Rita Ricardo, dad Don Fernando, and eventually brother Tom Byron on a very squeaky bed. But it's ok, aunt reveals - they're actually your step parents! Next up, Danielle's best friend gets her a job in a whore house (where her aunt also works, it seems), and run by older couple (one of whom is Helga Gabor, the other a random, unidentified guy) who, it turns out, gave a child up for adoption many years ago! Three guesses as to the connection, but not before an orgy. We also get a scene with Jamie Gillis, which is fun. Basically, almost everyone is related to everyone else, and everyone has sex with each other at some point, and while it may not be beautifully shot or narratively constructed, it's sunny and happy and everyone looks like they're having a seriously good time, with a pleasant soundtrack that does Tobalina's usual thing of looping weirdly at points, and becoming weirdly divorced from the on screen action at others. A surreal, fun, silly joy that straddles the line between amateur and pro and is full of hot people fucking. It's a real pleasure to see an older couple in porn as well - such a rarity. Also aunt DJ Cone is hot, and 'Danielle' looks suitably sweet and innocent. The highlight is undoubtedly the mum/dad/brother/sister family orgy on the squeaky bed early on. Las Vegas Girls: Very much in the same vein as Tobalina's other stuff from this period, and just as much fun, this one gets edged out a little by 'My Sinful Life's kinky incest angle but is still a huge amount of silly fun, as two detectives (Dan Boulder and the gorgeous Karen Hall) are hired to find a runaway daughter by rich Texan couple Liz Renay and the same older guy from My Sinful Life. Last heard of as being on the game in Vegas, the intrepid duo duly head to the city of sin and start trawling the brothels and bars to track her down. Boulder, therefore, gets to visit a series of bordellos and sex parties and indulge in what's on offer, while frustrated Hall is left to masturbate for our enjoyment. It turns out the girl has headed off to mexico to marry someone, so off we trot to there, where we get to see Brooke West fuck Blair Harris, intercut with the inevitable coupling of Hall and Boulder. At this point any attempt at narrative storytelling has utterly broken down, but that's ok, because the sex is hot. Still, the best stuff is undoubtedly in the orgies, early on, particularly Boulder watching three hookers getting it on enjoyably before joining in, and Hall's masturbation scenes. Orgies are very much Tobalina's wheelhouse, and while his filming skills might be questionable, the joy of them is that everyone looks like they're relaxed and enjoying themselves. The soundtrack's fun too."
"Two Carlos Tobolina joints from 1983 on a good DVD. Both films are restored from their original 35mm negatives and look astounding. The movies themselves are alright, typical Tobolina fluff with lots and lots of sexy time action and less plot. There are trailers for both films as extras."
"If it's foster parents involved, then I guess that's not really incest... so that's... okay I guess? Sure, why not! Anyway, My Sinful Life deals with a what is essentially child abuse, but presented as erotica. Nothing wrong with the way the scenes are filmed, actually the mum is seriously hot, but questionable morally. As it's porn though, I doubt any of us are likely to take the moral high ground. The rest of the movie is pretty good, there are some great sex scenes and although I didn't care much for the story, it is well filmed. Vegas Girls is more like standard Carlos Tobalina, with the usual orgy stuff going on (that's my memory of it, at least). It's pretty good, but nothing amazing really. I have seen much worse, so this gets a recommendation of sorts and is probably 'higher tier' Tobalina (or higher tierbalina)."
