"A very good and somewhat sad film. Not gonna be for everybody."
"This film feels like a good documentary on the life of a great athlete who becomes a porn star. The abuse she faces in her pursuit of the Olympics, her battle of rehab after an accident and her freedom as a pornstar is a marvellous journey that you feel you are a part of. But being a pornstar is also problematic in a society where female sexuallety and freedom is scorn apon and the shame she brings the family because of it. But the story is beautifully told and I highly recommend it."
"Didn't know what I was walking into with this one and came out genuinely moved. It's raw and at times brutal, but it finds beauty in that — the kind of film that earns it. Solid release, arrived in great shape as always. Mélusine continues to put out work worth owning."
"This won’t be for everyone as far as the subject matter, but if it sounds like it’s your bag, it probably will be."
"Beautiful art. Biopic based on the true story of Andrea Absolonova who was an Olympic diver prior to a career ending industry which put her in line for another career. About as quality of a story as it gets for a porno."
"It's based on the true story of Andrea Absolonova, a Czech woman who was training for the Olympics in 1996. When an incident takes that dream away and needing to make money, she moves first into modeling and later, into making porn. While she's rolling in money, her family (parents & sister) begin falling apart over her chosen vocation. It was a good movie and well-acted. You can only imagine what someone who has been pushed by her parents to excel at a sport (her sister is in the sport too) goes through when an incident rips the dream of Olympic competition away. The ending, which felt a bit abrupt to me in the movie sees her at least reconciling with her family. The film looks and sounds good. It is not an English language film. . . so there are subtitles (which don't bother me). Special Feature-wise, there is a trailer and a music video."
"great film"
"Powerful"
"“Her Body” starring Andrea Absolonová is a striking mix of art and eroticism, made even more poignant by her tragic real-life story as a former Olympic diver turned actress. The film feels raw and intimate, with Andrea’s presence giving it an authenticity and vulnerability that lingers long after the credits."
"Very beautiful and emotional movie. The movie is basically the biography of a famous European porn-star. The only reason this movie is here is because it contains a couple of seconds only of hard-core porn, performed by a body double and not the movie actress. But it is certainly a movie worth of your time and money."
