PEEKARAMA presents the wildest, rarest, and most scandalous theatrical hardcore double features. Taking its name from one of the earliest "all action" sex theatre chains, each PEEKARAMA release presents two themed, full length feature films, both meticulously restored, thus giving you the opportunity to enjoy an old fashioned dirty movie double feature at home!

Rene Bond was one of the most popular, versatile, and talented actresses of the early hardcore era. Presented here are two Rene rarities from 1973!

FRANKIE & JOHNNIE WERE LOVERS (Directed by Alan Colberg)
1973 | 76min | 1.85:1

Inspired by the classic folk song, director Alan Colberg's contemporary reimagining of the great American love tragedy follows the tumultuous romance of Frankie (Bond), a successful singer, and Johnnie, her computer whiz, race car loving beau (Rick Lutze), who can't keep his hands off beautiful Mary Bly (Cyndee Summers). Action and eroticism packed, Peekarama presents Frankie & Johnnie Were Lovers in its never on home video hardcore version.

THE MISLAYED GENIE (Directed by Eric Jeffrey Haims)
1973 | 93min | 1.85:1

After accidentally summoning up a genie (played by cult character actor Tobar Mayo), a sex-starved young man finds all of his erotic wishes can come true, but soon finds himself embroiled in time hopping orgies, gangster schemes, and other uproarious happenings, all while trying to score the girl of his dreams. Rene Bond co-stars as a sex-ed teacher whose students take 'family planning' a bit too literally in this never released on English language home video, sexploitation rarity.

Reviews

Straight from a 42nd Street flea market

"Behold! The legendary René Bond, one of the forgotten starlets of the early hard-core scene. The first film tries to frame her as a triple threat by having her perform the songs on the soundtrack. It’s the kind of second-bill feature you’d watch at 3:00 AM after a Fulci flick"

Finally grabbed this

"The Peekarama double feature of Frankie & Johnny Were Lovers and The Miss Played Genii delivers a perfect slice of vintage adult cinema with grit, charm, and plenty of sleaze. Both films shine in this release, giving fans a rare chance to enjoy two cult curiosities in one package."

Peekarama Double Feature

"Not bad. Enjoyed these for what they were. Some more early 70s Sleaze to entice your mother love bone. Recommended if it's not oop yet"

Frankie and Johnnie were lovers…

"Great release of two feature films with a great commentary!"

Double Bonded and Enhanced

"Good release with an okay pair of movies, both featuring Rene Bond. Unfortunately these are after her implants were installed. It is fun to see her sing on stage in "Frankie And Johnny Were Lovers", but the movie even at 75 minutes really drags. The last 10-15 minutes seem interminable. I liked "The Mislayed Genie" more even though it ran longer. Had a nice assortment of actresses that all (other than Rene Bond) were natural up top. Always preferable, imo."

Adam C. (3/5)

"Frankie & Johnny . . . were

""Frankie & Johnny . . . were assholes" more like! Marriage drama with annoying people and permanent cheatfucks (all pretty lame, btw), some nice singing performances by Rene Bond (whom I personally think is weirdly unattractive) and amitious photography. Had those egocentrics even a bit of a likeable personality, I may had enjoyed this movie much more. A technically above average movie who bit off more than it could swallow."
