Although largely forgotten today, director Alan Colberg was a prolific journeyman filmmaker whose career in sexploitation and hardcore features offered drive-in styled films which were as fun as they were effortlessly erotic. Colberg, who often collaborated with his wife Laurie, transitioned to hardcore later than many of his peers, but did so in style with this set of John Holmes starring productions, produced by Chris Warfield (Hot Lunch, Champagne For Breakfast). Peekarama proudly brings this tantalizing two-fer to Blu-ray, scanned and restored in 2K from their 35mm original camera negatives.

"Melusine releases a fun double feature of John Holmes films. All Night Long is a silly comedy that takes place at an Oscars-like awards show, and there's a competition between Holmes and Rick Lutz. Lots of humerous moments in this one and the awards show scenes are pretty entertaining. The other movie, Tapestry of Passion is a Johnny Wadd private eye movie which has an entertaining story with Johnny investigating a series of murders. Picture and audio quality are solid as per usual. The slipcover is very nice, and the reverse art is cool too. A trailer for each film is included as extras."
"This duo of 70's John Holmes movies was a fun watch. I enjoyed both the more comedy "All Night Long" and the Johhny Wad detective story "Tapestry Of Passion". The sex scenes with Desiree West (in both films) and Lesllie Bovee (just Tapestry) were fun. But the highlight of both movies to me was Sharon Thorpe and the over the top unhinged dominatrix type she played. No real special features, but two good movies with a nice presentation is worth 4 stars."

"Getting an upgrade from DVD, I'm not really sure these Alan Colberg flicks merited it, but this was my first time watching, so I'm glad it was on Blu-ray anyhow. ALL NIGHT LONG is about a pretty boring sex contest between Ric Lutze and John Holmes. The opening reel at the awards ceremony is pretty funny, but after that, it bogs down in repetitive and uninteresting sex scenes. TAPESTRY OF PASSION is better - still no great shakes, but a decent Johnny Wadd entry with a wild performance by Sharon Thorpe and mild horror overtones. Transfer quality is decent - not totally sparkling like a lot of the Tobalina releases but decent quality and miles better than the adult video companies that used to put these out. No real extras to speak of besides trailers, but I don't know how much there is to say about these films anyway, to be honest."
"I purchased this primarily for Tapestry of Passion as I read it was Leslie Bovee's first film. I was not disappointed. The film looks outstanding. It really amazes me how good a film from 1976 can look. This is my first Johnny Wadd movie, and I enjoyed watching him try to solve the black widow murders as only a 1970's adult movie can. I really enjoyed the movie and having two scenes with Leslie Bovee made it even better. Highly recommend."
"Two films from the 1970's of John Holmes. Ok transfer from 35 mm to Blu Ray. Some grainy spots on the dark scene that I give it 4 stars. But the best part are the sexy and beautiful Annette Haven and the black female Desiree West are in these pictures that are super hot ladies to watch! The storyline and acting in both of films are ok and the sex is plenty in both of these hardcore films. Joe NY"
