In 1987, French Adult Cinema superstar, Marilyn Jess, began the production of what would become her final film. Joining her was Michel Beaudricourt (Michel Caputo), who took the opportunity to document Marilyn, her fellow actors, and crew, creating an extraordinary mix of documentary and erotic fantasy. IL ETAIT UNE FOIS MARILYN JESS is at last presented in its original version, which has never before been seen on video.
In 1984, Jean-François Davy (as Paul Kermann), directed his last 35mm X rated film, LINGERIES FINES ET PERVERSES. Gathering all the stars of the time, Helen Shirley, Marilyn Jess, Olinka, Cathy Menard and Marianne Aubert, LINGERIES tells the story of a female director of erotic movies who looses herself in a journey of female fantasies.

"Great presentation from the 2 films, the 2 songs were a nice touch on the extras, and also really nice slipcover!"
"Anything with Marilyn Jess is worth the watch. While the documentary is interesting, it doesn't reveal much about Marilyn. Depending on what you're looking for, Lingeries Fines et Perverses may be the standout feature on the disc."
"Great edition to your collection! The restoration is great! With tons of extras. And the artcover is a 10/10! Love it!"
"High quality bluray release and this movie edition is one of the best from Jess."
"I was interested in the documentary nature of this but also just the question of working as an adult film star. Are we ever seeing anything like the "real" Marilyn on or off film? Did the movie answer this? Not really! But it's fun to explore."
"Very interesting documentary about the shooting of her last movie. Mixed with scenes shot on the set. Some interviews, some jokes, some serious worries about AIDS (it was 1987), overall an enjoyable feature, very well shot. In the extras you can see Marilyn in a recent interview, 34 years later, reminiscing on those days. The second feature, Lingeries fines…it wasn't very interesting to me. But that's not why I bought the release."
"Great movie. Dvd arrived in good time. Played great no issues. Thank you."
"This film sits firmly in the world of French adult cinema, and its appeal rests almost entirely on the performers—especially Marilyn Jess, who brings a confidence and ease that outshines the thin narrative. She has a natural screen presence that makes the film feel more polished than it actually is. Some of the supporting actors match her energy, while others drift through scenes with a stiffness that reminds you how uneven this era of the genre could be. The transfer is cleaner than expected. Detail is noticeably improved, especially in close‑ups and the softer, more atmospheric lighting setups that defined a lot of French productions from this period. Colors look warmer and more stable, and the image has a more consistent texture overall. It still carries the limitations of its original source, but the upgrade makes the film far more watchable than the faded, murky versions that circulated for years. Sound quality is serviceable. Dialogue is clearer, though still a bit thin in places, and the music sits more comfortably in the mix. Some of the audio roughness is clearly baked into the original production, so the restoration can only do so much, but it is still a noticeable improvement. Extras add some welcome context. Interviews and archival material help frame the film within its era and highlight Marilyn Jess’s place in the industry. These features give the release more depth than the film itself always manages, especially for viewers interested in the history of European adult cinema."
