Since 1990, Something Weird Video has been a pioneer in home video and rescuing forgotten "bottom-of-the-barrel" low-budget movies from the landfill. SWV founder, Mike Vraney, spent decades finding obscure "lost" sexploitation films and making them available once again. In the early Nineties, Mike met the man who would forever change his life and help SWV grow and evolve into the highly respected company it is today -- legendary film producer, David F. Friedman. Partnering with Friedman and licensing his archive opened doors Mike never could have imagined in those early days, giving SWV the credibility to gain access to the libraries of many of Dave's friends and colleagues over the years. Upon Friedman's death in 2011, SWV has been the custodian of their dear mentor's films and personal archive. Something Weird is proud to be working with Distribpix, Vinegar Syndrome and Mélusine to honor and keep this amazing man's legacy alive with these beautiful newly restored Blu-rays.

Now, with Jekyll’s body transformation formula all to himself, Dr. Leeder becomes the sultry “Miss Hide,” who uses her newfound sensuality to seduce - and murder - men and women alike. "This Something Weird adult retelling of a classic tale received a wonderful transfer and a pretty fantastic limited case and bonus booklet. The film itself is a dirtier representation of Dr Jekyll and Sister Hyde and it holds up pretty well with the humor, nudity, and Rene Bond. You get exactly what you're looking for as long as it's a soft-X and not the Melusine typical hardcore release. The bonus Zorro film is pretty entertaining as well, but Jekyll and Hyde was my main draw."

"The first volume of a new David Friedman series via Distribpix/Something Weird/Melusine. Beautiful, well-appointed edition of some unappreciated American underground films. These editions put the “high-end” art film labels to shame. These releases have come a long way from the photocopied VHS tapes of yore. Great stuff, and I look forward to more."
