The biggest stars, best directors, and highest production values; that is a QUALITY X film. These deluxe Blu-ray editions of some of the genre's masterpieces, along with plenty of hidden gems, offer beautiful restorations and plentiful bonus features, all presented in homage to its namesake of esteemed New York film distributor, Mature Pictures, the company which almost single handedly raised the bar for outstanding sex films, and whose films will be included in this fittingly elegant collection.
Elmo Smithers wishes he could disappear into the worlds of action, adventure, and intrigue that he creates, toiling as a writer and illustrator for Marble Comics. Be it heroic international adventurer Louisiana Smith, intergalactic voyager and space warrior Tony Steel, tough and daring war pilot Johnny Ace, and others. But alas, Elmo’s imagination is the only place in which his dreams can become anything other than scribbles on a page. However, as he drifts from one creative fantasy to the next, a single aspect of all of his musings remains the same: the appearance of the strikingly beautiful and ever mysterious “Blonde Goddess.” Could she be something more than mere fantasy?
From international shooting locations to the integration of plentiful and outrageous photographic and editorial techniques, director Bill Milling’s (All American Girls) loving tribute to 1930s comic books and cinematic serials, BLONDE GODDESS is as outlandish in its story telling as it is ambitious in its production values. Starring Jacqueline Lorians (Nightdreams), Loni Sanders (Beauty), Misty Regan (Stud Hunters), and Ron Jeremy (A Girl’s Best Friend), this cult favorite has been newly restored from its 35mm camera negative and comes to Blu-ray for the first time from Quality X.

Great Collector’s Release
"A very enjoyable release with a strong vintage feel and a transfer that presents the film nicely. The disc does a good job preserving the atmosphere and style of the feature. A few rough edges remain, but overall this is a satisfying edition."
— Thomas L. (4/5)
fun classic!
"Really stoked this film got the Quality X treatment. It might not be the best porno movie ever made, but as a live-action, XXX-rated answer to HEAVY METAL, it's a fun one! The restoration looks great."
— Isaac W. (4/5)

A Classic Jungle Adventure with Vintage Charm
"Blonde Goddess is a pulpy jungle adventure that plays like a time capsule of its era. The feature leans into exotic locations, campy danger, and a straightforward survival story that’s easy to follow and fun to revisit. It’s not trying to be complex, it’s aiming for atmosphere and escapism, and it mostly succeeds on those terms. The pacing is steady, with enough action and intrigue to keep things moving without dragging. Performances are simple but effective, fitting the tone and style of classic B-movie adventure. As a release, it’s handled well. The transfer looks clean and stable, preserving the film’s vintage look while improving clarity. Everything feels respectfully presented and easy to watch on modern setups. Overall, this is a solid presentation of a classic-style jungle adventure that works best as a nostalgic, easygoing watch."

Adult Fantasy
"The Blonde Goddess (1982) is a playful, genre‑blending fantasy that mixes adventure pastiche with light comedy, framed through the imagination of a frustrated comic‑book artist. Rather than presenting a straightforward narrative, the film moves between reality and fantasy as Elmo Smathers, a shy illustrator at “Marble Comics,” daydreams himself into the pulp‑style adventures he draws. These fantasies—jungle rescues, space operas, wartime escapades—form the backbone of the film’s episodic structure"

Excellent vingettes.
"Very fun early 80s cinema serial reel inspired adult film. If 70s Speilberg and Lucas had a dirty minded little brother, this would be their ouévre. The still artwork and cheap but charming effects of the Flash Gordon-styled ending were especially nice."

Super fun XXX throwback
"There's not a lot of story here, but BLONDE GODDESS does a great job transporting XXX content into a number of different comic book-style tableaux. It's handsomely produced and will certainly prove a treat for genre fans - kudos to Quality X for presenting it in such a nice, gussied up edition. Picture quality is superb, as always. Extras are fairly limited, but that's all right. At this point, I'm happy just to get these films looking squeaky-clean in nice new transfers. Anything beyond that is a bonus!"

Blonde Goddess
"Fun tribute to 1930’s comics with some nice talent on screen. I enjoyed the full female cast who all look great. Video quality is very good, and the slipcover artwork is well done. I do wish there were more in the way of special features. The image gallery is nice, but at least one feature or interview from somebody talking about the people involved would have been appreciated."
— Adam C. (3/5)
Brilliant!
"Love this release. It makes a change to have various stories like a comic book. And each are very good. The special effects are dated but fun. Ron Jeremy is great as always but also good to see some different faces too. Awesome slip cover with this release. I am placing this title amongst my Top Ten."
— Lea L. (5/5)
Blind buy paid off
"Blind-bought this one purely on vibes — the slipcover is doing something really fun, like if Indiana Jones, Flash Gordon and a Marvel comic all got thrown in a blender. That's enough for me. Haven't watched it yet but it's sitting on the shelf looking great and I have zero regrets about the purchase. Sometimes a cool slipcover and a good premise is all the justification you need."
