While producing a string of films for notorious Spanish director Jess Franco (Barbed Wire Dolls, Jack the Ripper), Swiss producer Erwin C. Dietrich "borrowed" Franco's main muse, actress Lina Romay, for a sexploitation romp of his own. Their resulting collaboration was 1975's Rolls Royce Baby, a salacious and intensely erotic cinematic experience featuring the beautiful Romay at her most sexually uninhibited.
Romay stars as Lisa, a curvy nymphomaniac who prowls the countryside in her classic, chauffeur-driven, Rolls-Royce picking up any man she can find and engaging in all manner of explicit sexual acts. Dietrich (along with Franco himself who, according to the director, co-directed the movie, uncredited) forgoes any narrative contrivances and simply focuses on Lina's outstanding natural physical attributes, picturesque scenery and a cavalcade of hot couplings that happen in and out of that glorious Rolls Royce, while composer Walter Baumgartner's delirious score pumps away in the background.

"I've never seen this movie, so this one was a complete blind purchase. Although I wasn't expecting a great plot, or a good one for that matter, this movie is just kind of meandering, repetitive and tame. Yea, I know, it's just another softcore porn flick, but I've seen better. This film is mostly style with no substance. But I can't argue the beauty of Lina Romay. Nice artwork on the slipcover. 2 1/2 stars out of 5."

"What can you even say about this one? Basically a vehicle to showcase the stunning Lina Romay, this is such a gorgeous slice of nonsense. Competently directed by Erwin Dietrich (with a little help from his friends), Rolls Royce Baby is sumptuous dream of a film. Aided by her kung-fu kicking, dong-flapping chauffeur (played by the always entertaining Eric Falk), Lisa (had to look that up, who knew?) travels the land in her fancy ride searching for more bodies to explore. No real story other than that, but who needs one when you have such beauty on offer. There is a slight attempt at an origin story involving two truckers on a lonely night road, but doesn't really connect the dots from there to the present. But again, this doesn't matter. A lovely package all around with another dreamy slip by the talented Suspiria Vilchez, interesting interview with writer and film critic David McGillivray, and a really solid commentary by Chris Alexander. You can tell he has a love and respect for Franco and his main muse, as well as being knowledgeable and interesting with it. Not always a given with the Delirium releases."
"This movie is a visual feast for any fan of Lina Romay. It's practically plotless, but has nice camera work and artistic set design. And Lina herself is gorgeous and completely uninhibited. For a voyeur like me, she's wonderful. The transfer looks great, the commentary track is fun, and the interview with David McGillivray was a nice supplement. Very nice artwork on the package."
