Hyapatia Lee was one of the biggest names during the twilight years of theatrical hardcore. As she began to take more creative control over her film appearances, including helping to author their screenplays, she also brought her husband, Bud, into the mix to serve as her director; a decision which would help launch his own lengthy filmmaking career. Presented here are two of Hyapatia’s final theatrical features, and Bud’s directing debut, both scanned and restored in 2K by Peekarama. Making their way through the English countryside on their way to Canterbury, a group of travelers rest each night and conclude their evenings by sharing the sultriest of erotic fables in this delightful hardcore adaptation of Chaucer’s classic tome. A big budget comedy-costume epic, THE RIBALD TALES OF CANTERBURY mixes bawdy humor and elegant eroticism and co-stars Colleen Brennan (Sharon Kelly), Mike Horner, Buffy Davis, Beverly Bliss, Peter North, and more. Radio station KNUT has been struggling to sustain their listenership, and when their top sponsor threatens to pull out for good, bossman Gary threatens to fire the entire staff unless they can get ratings way up. "Solid double-feature with two above-average movies. Both films are very funny, very entertaining, and very sexy. Hyapatia Lee shines in both. Colleen Brennan is fantastic in Canterbury, as well. Great-looking and sounding transfer, clear and high-quality."

I do really like seeing Colleen Brennan. "Tasty" was a little better overall. I always feel like I should like Hyapatia Lee more than I do, but she doesn't connect with me for some reason."
