Mary Jo Harmon is a small town country girl who dreams of moving to Hollywood to pursue her ambition of becoming a famous movie star. But no sooner than arriving, her fantasies of glitz and glamour begin to get chipped away, as she learns that all of the things she's heard about LA's sleazy casting couches, lecherous producers, and perverted parties are...absolutely true! Will Mary Jo ever be able to fulfill her dream, as the world around her turns into an ever greater orgy of disappointment?

Director Carter Stevens' (Rollerbabies) only West Coast shot film, TINSELTOWN stars Tawny Pearl (Taboo), Eric Edwards, Rhonda Jo Petty (Little Orphan Dusty), Randy West, Pat Manning, Mike Ranger, Jennifer West, David Morris and Jake Teague, along with a memorable supporting performance from William Margold as grizzled talent agent, Morty Green. Nearly impossible to see following its brief VHS release in the early 80s, Vinegar Syndrome brings TINSELTOWN to Blu-ray newly restored from its 35mm negative and featuring an all new commentary track with director Carter Stevens!

"Tinseltown is fabulous adult feature directed by Carter Steven. This movie was really hard to find outside of its’s original VHS release and is now presented completely restored from it’s 35mm camera negative with a commentary track from it’s director."

Amazing cover art on this classic

"Classic Carter Stevens flick, with a great cast and some excellent cinematography. Great music in then film, and it has a commentary track with the man himself. The cast of women is spectacular, with Jennifer West (always spectacular) and even Rhonda Jo making an appearance. Danielle Raye looks spectacular, in her only adult role. The same goes for Ashley Brooks. Great feel to this movie, and Eric Edwards is great as always."

Tits All Town

"Probably shouldn't have enjoyed this so much, but for whatever reason I did. I think mostly because of the performances by Ashley Brooks and Danielle Raye. Raye in particular comes across as very naïve and it's hard to tell if she's deliberately acting that way, or simply isn't a very good actress. Given she wasn't in any other films, perhaps it's the latter, but who cares - she's incredibly cute and has the sweetest voice, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt! For a film about acting, the acting is generally fairly dubious, but it's a very easy watch. Oh, and there's some funky disco music which gets stuck in your head. For days it kept popping into my head, usually at the strangest moments like when I was making a sandwich, or something equally mundane. Other things I to mention are the weird bath scene (seems to be unique to this film), the girl with the vibrator and what looks like a dirty bum (or perhaps a bum even hairier than the bum hair champion Leslie Bovee) and of course, Eric Edwards (sporting a beard). Edwards always nails his roles and you know he's never going to let you down. Oh, and the lesbian scene between Danielle Raye and Pat Manning (I think?) is highly memorable, not least of all because they're clearly enjoying it (and the cheesy 'love' music is perfect!). I suppose there's a moral to it as well. . . yes, it ends with disco music and a voiceover. . . then they discuss 'the point' of it all. 'There is no point. . . that's the point!'. And on that note, I really do need to listen to the director's commentary when I get a chance (a great inclusion for any release). All in all, this one is an absolute belter. I believe it's OOP, so you might have trouble finding it, but it's well worth getting if you do see it for sale."

Tinseltown is a sleazy little

"Tinseltown is a sleazy little porno that stars some of the greats and tries to present a real plot between the erotica, which is always welcome. I'm obviously here to see the legendary Eric Edwards, but loved that scene with Mike Ranger of Taboo fame! Probably one of the better seXXX comedies I've seen. Deserves some flowers and a reappraisal."

Tinsel Town

"The seedy side of the neighborhood."
