This listing is for the standard edition 4K UHD/Blu-ray. The limited edition gold foil magnet clasp slipcase + slipcover set (designed by Rich Long) was limited to 4,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the packaging.
Catherine's life is one of luxury. But since the death of her beloved father, her stately family home, luxurious car, and refined sensibilities have not brought her happiness. Aloof and disinterested in her husband and daughter, Catherine prefers to spend her evenings engaged in sensual fantasies while sitting amongst the items from her childhood bedroom, now stored in a dark attic. But one stormy night, while seated in front of a large mirror, her father - or a demon in his shape - appears in the reflection, promising her untold pleasures and happiness if she simply comes through the glass. Frightened at first, Catherine eventually gives in and begins to visit the steadily more sinister world inside the mirror. But with each dream-like trip, the dark truths of her past, which she has tried so long to forget, start becoming more and more clear, all as the sinister power of temptation becomes wholly irresistible...

Reviews
Nice dark fairytale
"Glad I found this horror/supernatural X film (with some "unusual" camera angles). The transfer is great and makes the set pieces look even more beautiful and surreal. Although I'm a little bummed I didn't get the limited edition, the contents are the same and not too little; including another feature by the same director and several interviews with interesting insights about him and the production of Through the Looking Glass."
— Emilie P. (5/5)
Great film, one critique
"The movie itself is great but the booklet included with the standard edition is so big that the box has trouble closing all the way. If the case was a bit more roomy to accommodate that, it would be 5 stars all the way."
— Jeremy B. (4/5)
Everything You’ve Ever Imagined
"But it’s okay for the plot too yes? Through the looking glass is a dark fairytale. Well crafted and VERY throughly acted. It is extremely bleak and nihilistic in its depiction of its story and the graphic elements bolster that. The package is beautifully decorated in gold leaf and the package itself is one of the most unique unboxing. It feels like you’re digging into something forbidden each time you get to it."
— Logan S. (5/5)
One of the better adult films of the era
"The restoration of this fantastic film is incredible! The colors and sound pop in a way I imagine rivals seeing it on the big screen. The special features included alone are worth the price"
— Chris B. (5/5)
Through The Looking Glass
"This was an interesting arty adult movie. The women were beautiful, and there are some interesting scenes. However, the quality of the packaging left a little bit to be desired. The blue-ray case caught on the inside of the slip box, which resulted in a damaged cover."
— David L. (4/5)
Quality film. Jamie Gillis is
"Quality film. Jamie Gillis is wonderful as always, genuinely scary in the latter portion of the film. Many inventive ideas, some working better than others, but overall a welcome entry to my collection."
— Michael W. (5/5)
Wow! This is something else!
"Wow! This is something else! Very dark and pervasive film! The restoration is nice and the interview/commentary with the director really helps put you in his warped mindspace at the time of making this!"
— Charles S. (5/5)
Crazy artistic XXX take on
"Crazy artistic XXX take on Alice in Wonderland if it was all a psychological nightmare. Not sexy perse, but definitely leaves a lasting impression. Love the artwork on the case/slipcover, and the disc is pretty stacked with extras including a bonus feature."
— Kyle C. (4/5)
Mesmerizing and terrifying!
"Absolutely terrifying! I've never seen an adult film like this one before. The restoration looks fantastic too. Even past the sex, it's an extremely compelling psychodrama."
— Thomas T. (5/5)
Beautiful restoration and 4K release
"Beautiful restoration and 4K release by Melusine. Great movie with a good blend of erotica and actually story. Overall a very good release with nice scenes and atmosphere!"
— Onno G. (5/5)
