The film (also known as JULCHEN UND JETTCHEN and COME PLAY WITH ME 3) tells the tale of the titular sisters, who attend an elite finishing school run by the comely Miss Brown (Barbara Moose). Though presumably more classes are on the curriculum, Jenny and Juliet are specifically interested in Miss Brown's in-depth sex education lessons and enjoy putting their saucy teacher's carnal knowledge to the test. And they do, in an endless series of intense, explicit sequences featuring tons of female (and male) nudity, wanton lesbian encounters and eye-opening solo acts. But unlike some of Dietrich's standard bump 'n' grind fare, AMOROUS SISTERS is much more cinematic experience, featuring some rather beautiful cinematography, handsome natural locations, delirious surrealistic passages and a gorgeous score by Dietrich regular Walter Baumgartner (JACK THE RIPPER, ROLLS ROYCE BABY).

"you have to commend Delirium for releasing these types of documentaries about the German girls' school educational system in the late '70s, as those of us in the USA (and elsewhere around the world) also had very similar learning experiences. I know I speak for all of you who had to endure sex education classes, and recall scenes as depicted in SISTERS, when the female sex ed instructor and all the girls in class took their tops off and caressed their nipples in order to demonstrate what an erogenous zone was, or the time that our female teacher hiked their skirt up, sans underwear, in order to explain the parts of the female genitalia, and of course we can all relate when another student brought in a raincoat-wearing flasher so the teacher could explain the male sex organ. These kind of universal sex education experiences can be dull, so of course the slipcover to AMOROUS shows more prurient activities that can happen with all of that sexual knowledge, but rest assured that those activities don't take up that much screentime; maybe 95% at most. I'm a huge fan of Brigitte Lahaie, so it was great to see her participating in these types of real-life examples of German girls' school curriculum, like running through the woods naked with all of your classmates, bouncing up and down in slow motion trying to catch imaginary butterflies. I can appreciate educational scenes like that, even though I unfortunately am unable to unsee other examples of nature, like actual horse copulation, but those are the types of real-life scenes that Erwin Dietrich movies typically present, and I'm sure we're all more enlightened after viewing dry, but important, educational materials like this. Kudos, Delirium."
