This listing is for the standard edition 4k UDH/Blu-ray Combo. The limited edition slipcover (designed by Robert Sammelin) was limited to 4,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

A deranged maniac is stalking the sleazy massage parlors of Times Square, murdering helpless hookers in a variety of nasty ways. Grizzled Detective Rizotti and his younger, more romantic minded partner, Detective O’Mara, are on the case, but keep hitting dead ends and diversions, all while having to fend off the seductive charms of the very massage hostesses they’re trying to protect. Will they unmask this demented and bloodthirsty pervert before all the city’s prostitutes wind up in body bags?

A fever dream of New York lensed 70s exploitation cinema, Chester Fox and Alex Stevens’ MASSAGE PARLOR MURDERS explodes on the screen with a non-stop orgy of murder, mayhem, gratuitous T&A, grimy Manhattan locales, bizarre plot twists, and even an out of left field and highly ambitious car chase! Featuring Sandra Peabody (THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT), Chris Jordan (A TOUCH OF GENIE), Anne Gaybis (WHAM BAM THANK YOU SPACEMAN), Arlana Blue (BLOODSUCKING FREAKS), Brother Theodore (DEVIL’S EXPRESS), and award winning character actor George Dzundza (THE DEER HUNTER) in one of his earliest on screen appearances, MASSAGE PARLOR MURDERS was never released on video and long believed lost until Vinegar Syndrome uncovered the original negative. At last this essential grindhouse epic makes the leap to 4K UHD, newly restored and looking so crisp you can almost smell the garbage!

Reviews

Massage Parlour Murders

"A fairly sleazy 70's exploitation movie. Storyline and dialogue are nothing special, but manage to keep the movie going at a decent pace. Thanks to restoration work, picture quality is at a reasonable level, though does suffer a little in darker scenes. Overall presentation is good."

Luke S. (5/5)

ridiculously nice

"I think it's beautifully absurd that THIS film has a 4K when THE FRENCH CONNECTION does not & might not ever. Sure, it's a clunker, but MPM is too easy to watch. As far as the value of 4K for a title like this, the real prize is in all the NYC street detail now clearly visible. Really happy with this edition, especially that freaked-out Robert Sammelin slip."

Isaac W. (4/5)

Glorious filth

"This is right up my alley. Sleazy and exploitative. A super fun, cheap time. Only in the ‘70s…."

Will K. (5/5)

A Wonderfully Odd Entry into 70s Sexploitation

"This was the opposite of everything I expected it to be, in some bizzarely charming ways. I've never watched a 70s sexploitation movie before so I picked this up as a palate cleanser from more "serious" movies. Well, it worked! I thought I'd get some hardboiled police procedural with sleaze, instead I got a sideshow of fucking weirdos doing something maybe (with sleaze). Love it. The commentary track is excellent on the standard version, too. Will rewatch, will happily inflict this movie upon others!"

Casey D. (4/5)

Massage Parlor Murders (UHD)

"Excellent transfer!"

Hunter R. (5/5)

Stylish grindhouse shocker

"A sleazy, atmospheric slice of late-’70s exploitation with strong mood and memorable moments. Not perfect, but the UHD presentation really elevates it and makes this a worthwhile watch for genre fans."

Jamie M. (4/5)

ahhh

"good old grindhouse sleaze! you know it, you love it"

Thomas C. (5/5)

Pretty good murders

"The sleaziness of this movie makes it so much fun to watch. Also gave me a little vibe of the French connection. Lackluster ending in my opinion though."

Gustavo M. (5/5)

Grimy NYC thriller in a stunning UHD upgrade

"A rough, sleazy ’70s crime thriller that doubles as a time capsule of old New York. The UHD restoration is impressive—grainy in the right way but much clearer than older releases. Extras add good context for the production and era."

Thomas L. (4/5)

Solid fun 70s sleeze movie.
